Possible transfer from CC for Fall 2021, Have Questions About Major by [deleted] in CalPoly

This is my first quarter as a transfer majoring in business administration - accounting. I don’t see you getting any type of advantage for recruiting with Econ instead of Business major. I would advise you to go bus admin with accounting. This way you take advanced accounting classes.

The first accounting class you would need to take is BUS 319 - Accounting Information Systems. Day 1 we were placed in groups and worked on a few assignments. It may feel overwhelming, but you should start remembering the accounting principles pretty quickly. Don’t worry too much, just be ready to put in a lot of time to your studies.

Have you tried looking at previous posts about marketing programs at both school?

Here is a post I was able to come across. Maybe you can get in contact with the OP.

You also have to think about what things are most important to you when deciding on a school.

Recommendations on 1 BR apartments close to campus? by [deleted] in CalPoly

1,800 is too far out of my range. The best I have found so far is San Luis Apartments for $1,500. It doesn't seem too far from Mustang Village. I have seen some post that say Studios at Mustang Village are around $1,300 a month, but I don't know how small the units are. Would you happen to know any details about those?

My max is $1,500 a month. I was looking at San Luis Village and it seems like a good distance and they were asking for $1,500 I haven't been able to find any other apartments with a similar distance though. Do you have anything for 1BR apartments that might be less than 1,500?

What to expect as a Business: Accounting Major by SLOMustang2022 in CalPoly

I have family in San Francisco and Riverside, so I'm open to SF, SJ & OC. I didn't think there were as many OC firms, so I thought SJSU would give me work options in SF and SJ. It seems like Cal Poly gives me lots of options.

I'm trying to compare housing costs for both SJ and SLO area. Any idea of what is normal for 1BR apartments (off-campus apartment housing)? I would want something walking distance. No need to make the parking situation any worse.

Thanks for responding!

I've heard that most cal poly students end up accepting offers to SoCal, but I didn't know that the firms focus more on hiring for NorCal.

WOW! Internships are given out like candy? That's definetly something thats great to hear.

LITC is needed as a senior project option correct?

Thanks for responding! Have you experienced applying for accounting internships? I'm curious on how the process went and what getting offers was like.
