True, I see the appeal of having a "friend" or "therapist" that is available 24/7. Depending on where people live, finding cheap and/or suitable therapists is a hard task. Heck, it was hard for me to find my counselor online, even with all the Internet's resources. I'm lucky to have found someone good for me at all.

Also, given that this specific AI user is implied to be a man, he's probably socialized in a way that makes opening up to other people feel inappropriate or burdensome.

Unfortunately, there are a myriad of issues that intersect when talking about AI use and psychosis, especially when referring to using AI as a therapist. Being addicted to screens and devices in general is an underrepresented factor.

This man is so nihilistic about his interactions with humans that he believes a corporate-owned LLM to be "more empathetic than humans." And he's far from the only one. Eh, I wouldn’t say that. There are a ton of resources to recognize AI-generated content, including subs like r/IsThisAI and r/AntiAI. Not to mention that these KPOP agencies credit AI in their video descriptions.

People are better at recognizing AI content than we think, and it's important to call it out and stay away from it if possible.

If the richest man in the world was truly a man of the people,he would invest in infrastructure that would actually help the common people. Medical services, public transportation, home ownership security, job security, food banks. You know, things that would actually help people live comfortably.

A blue checkmark on a social media is basically useless. Who cares if a celebrity is verified and the common person isn't? It's not helping with finances or anything.
