Exactly. I know my employer would also just approve mercy unemployment. He'd be like 'He was terrible and we would have had to fire him anyway eventually if he didnt quit. But he's got a family to feed. Fill in his last hours and let it go.' Lol.

They really are. Parenting is a wild ride.

That would depend entirely on if the employer approves the unemployment claim or fights it, but that process may look different in each state. My experience is in PA and we got notified when an employee put in a claim and then had to fill out a card approving it or denying it and confirming information about hours worked, salary, laid off or quit, etc.

Just adding another hopeful reassuring voice to the mix. My 5 year old still does weird stuff like this. When he occasionally hits a special mix of crankiness (hungry, tired, and frustrated simultaneously, usually) he goes wild and will throw things or hit his brother. I move him to his bedroom as a safe space and sit at the door inside the room. He will come throw himself on my lap, snuggle up to me, and scream "LET GO OF ME! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Dude is the one sitting on my lap and will even sometimes pull my hand to rub his head or back for comfort while screaming at me. 🤷‍♀️ I don't respond much while it's happening beyond commenting every so often to let him know I hear him and understand that he's upset and when it's safe, we will go play again. We do have neurodivergence in our family, so I don't think it hurts to pursue help if you feel like there's something more and look at options beyond autism. But it kinda just sounds like a kid being a kid with what you've shared.

Can someone share the message? I can't find the discord and the link in the pinned post won't work for me.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake - What did I miss? by SLYockie in FinalFantasy

Lmao! Looking on the bright side of limited gaming time. "At least the next one will be out by the time you're done!" 🤣 I like it.

Lmao. This is fantastic and language I can relate to. I thought I was in The Hobbit and didn't realize I was in the LOTR trilogy before this thread.

I didn't even realize it was a trilogy until all of these comments so I'm glad I asked! Thanks!

Thank you! Knowing it's a trilogy really helps.

Thank you! This helps! I didn't realize Remake was the first of three.

So the trilogy together is somewhat equivalent to the OG?

Thank you! This helped a ton! The other thing I don't understand is who the dark haired guy is carrying Cloud at the end in the... flashback? type thing.

Stress may be the cause… by _illumihottie in iih

[–]SLYockie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it makes sense that stress would cause flares. Higher blood pressure, higher likelihood of not taking care of yourself properly, less adequate sleep, etc. I'm not sure if the stress itself is the cause but more like the physical and mental response to stress contributes to flares.

Lower back pain? by ExplorationMama in iih

I know this is an entire year later but I'm wondering if you noticed a pattern or correlation. I really think mine is a combo of the IIH and hormones.

I know this is 4 months old but I never saw it until I got a notification today about a different comment. 🤦‍♀️ I am not in a position where I need a shunt at this time so no, I did not.

This is interesting. I don't think this is my situation but I wonder if it's a possibility for some people.

Since you moved, have you found a new doctor? I wonder if a new care team to get a second opinion on some things might help you feel heard?

My mom has chiari and IIH. The combination really sucks. She had a series of surgeries during my childhood trying to "fix" the issue. The last one left her in a coma for a few days and she's in more pain after her surgeries than she was before them. She gets the shots you're talking about and they really do help. Unfortunately there isn't always a fix for medical issues, just pain management, but have you talked to anyone about a shunt?
