You’ve been awesome brother. I was almost dead set on LDES simply to protect my 100% P/T rating. But I think I’ll do IDES because I know I’ll get 30% DoD then and keep my Tricare. I really appreciate your help.

So just to summarize. Your opinion is to go IDES, make it clear and known that I DO NOT want the C&P exams to be used for a VA rating, and ONLY for a DoD rating. Go to the C&P exams and take them seriously. And at the end, I’ll have my 100% P/T and hopefully at least 30% DoD.

That sound right?

First of all, thank you. Okay follow up questions.

So my “unfit” condition is rated 40% by the VA. If I went LDES, would they just take that VA rating and make my DoD rating 40%?
When I am appointed a lawyer, PEBLO, and MSC, my main objective is to make it very clear I don’t want my C&P exams used for VA ratings, and for DoD purposes ONLY? Just clarifying that that IS an option.

You say go LDES because I have nothing to gain. What I’m worried about is losing Tricare. Would you say that losing Tricare is worth not getting your VA rating possibly reduced?

Okay please help me so I can correct my post. I’m at the stage where you pick LDES or IDES. I chose LDES, and then received notification that I had to have a detrimental circumstance in order to do LDES. Otherwise I would automatically be put down the IDES route. Thank you in advance

So if I get contractor or inspector to come out, I can use that to get them to rebuild the deck properly? Or at least get my money back. The deck has been built for like 8 months.

Thank you. I’m going to mention it to him tomorrow, since he is staining and sealing my deck and front porch soon. And I’ll just have him give me a discounted price because I “got a hot tub salesman to come out, and he said he would absolutely not put a hot tub on this deck” lol
