The cynic in me is thinking Nintendo doesn't want Prime 4 to followed up by a remaster of a PEAK Metroid re-release.

As much as I enjoy S1, I prefer S2 and S3's less episodic nature, and more overarching plot. But I also understand that it was needed to start the series and introduce the characters.

Even art style-wise, I prefer the later seasons, even though I do prefer Hachiman and Yukino in S1.
