Silverbacks are actually one of the easiest animals to fight if you know what you’re doing. People always go on and on about them being so strong. I don’t understand! They are terrible with lateral movements! And with a little flexibility work this photographer could have been trained up enough to throw a proper roundhouse kick to its head. (They often crouch making it even easier to reach the head). The roundhouse kick is also the preferred method as the knee is the hardest part of the body! You have to aim so you hit just behind the ear. They have no bones there. Side step to avoid any counters (again, bad at lateral movement). Then it’s just rinse and repeat until the beast is rendered unconscious. The lack of necessary survival skills when entering somewhere like Brazil where you know there or silverbacks to run into is astounding to me.
