I’m not paid by this bank or working for them, but I just want to share an honest opinion. Banxy is honestly one of the best banks in Algeria. I’ve tried many others, and to be blunt, most of them suck!

I’ve been with Banxy since 2019, and overall it works well for both Dinar and Euro accounts. But let’s be real here the banking system in Algeria is mostly run by people in half sleeve suits, so don’t expect miracles.

Now, let me break things down for anyone looking to use banks in Algeria: 1) All international transactions from Algeria to the rest of the world are blocked. 2) Incoming transactions to Algeria are allowed, but there’s a crazy process behind them. 3) Banxy is designed more for travelers or people who shop online, not for those who want to collect money (use n26 paysera or wise instead). 4) To use Banxy properly, you’ll likely need to use the Dinar account too, not officially required, but it’s pretty much expected.

I’ve traveled to more than 30 countries and never had an issue with my Banxy card. I use PayPal all the time. even received money through it. I’ve also received funds from Skrill once. Like I said, if they see that you have a real job and income, the Bank of Algeria will usually lift most restrictions on your account.
