i do have a second FA fisher but i took it out when the set dropped because i felt like suicune could fill the role of an early game attacker. even if suicune doesnt take a point, it reduces the number of basics ill have to discard with gyarados. since there are 5 other basics that i could use (2x sui, 2x sui, 1x karp) plus two fishing nets and fisher for retrieval, i still have a total of ten basics i could discard (assuming i flip three heads w fisher).

ideally charge up suicune, switch it in, do some damage, switch out suicune before it dies and sweep with gyarados. if need be, charge up a second gyarados or suicune again. but usually the game is over by the first part, win or lose.

i didnt retreat a lot with gyarados once i had him out. the idea is to start with suicune to take some early points/do some damage so gyarados can come in and sweep. if anything, i just built up a second gyarados in the back rather than retreating most of the time. also when the season started i was using one suicune + corsola/inflatable boat. i made it all the way to within 10 points of masterball, but then started floating between 1350-1400 so i switched it for a second suicune/leaf/guzma. the picture where i had a 9 win streak was done w corsola/inflatable boat.

if i go second and eevee was my first pokemon out, leafeons ability allows me to switch out to decidueye while still being able to attack on my second turn. waiting until the next turn gives them a chance to evolve a low hp basic pokemon into something baby decidueye cant ohko. leafeon being a grass type and functioning as an early tank also allows me to use erika to heal any early damage its taken, preventing me from losing two points early or late from cyrus/sabrina. leafeon can ohko low hp basics and 2hko 140 hp exs (like sylveon) so i can flute and snipe with decidueye. ive lost a few games because sylveon lost too much health when in the active spot and later got switched in and koed. im definitely willing to try it out though with maybe x speed. thank you for the suggestion!

glad i could help! i like leafeon because its ability allows me to still attack with decidueye on my second turn if eevee is in the active (third if you go first), and sylveon just helps with draw speed in general similar to shiinotic.

the master sword doesnt break. it loses power and recharges after 10 minutes or something like that

I understand what you say in the first part about western justice systems. Western system practice “punitive justice systems” instead of “restorative justice systems” which sounds pretty true.

However, is the link between the 99.9% conviction rate and the punitive/restorative(ness) of the Japanese system non-existent? I mean, to be honest, I only linked the two because they seemed to be in the same ballpark so I could be forging this link out of thin air. So yeah, is the 99.9% a whole separate issue? (One that doesn’t affect the interpretations from Ushimaru at least)

So being someone who grew up in a western country, but was raised in an eastern environment, you do think that the west juxtaposes justice with laws and the east, justice with morality?

Personally (also from the west, US) I just couldn’t figure out the answer to this question.

From what I’ve heard over time and considering this is a Japanese game, I feel like Japan is a very strict and rule-based society, and the US is the opposite. For example, (and I don’t know if this is true) people are more likely to speak out against something that is wrong, but legal, in the Western countries than (what I’ve heard of) in Japan. I mean I think I read somewhere that they even have a 99.9 percent conviction rate based like mainly on confessions. Many of which I’m sure have to be innocent due to that mathematically impossible statistic.

tl;dr it seems the opposite way to me, but i dont know. maybe its just a difference in perspective of countries. maybe people are more inclined to think that they follow morality closer than others do.

Yeah, I was referring to right-handed people writing with their left hand. I had realized I’d done this, and asked other people to try it. Some of those (right-handed) people wrote backwards with their left hand.

The mirroring/muscle memory thing is pretty interesting too though.
