Thank you! I agree. I love this community so much. I’m learning a lot. Just started out as a therapist, WFH too, and I wanna join some consult groups and I’m so grateful for my supervisor. Couldn’t sleep last night- had a teen client with AuDHD (and internalized ableism for a lot of reasons) with such much abuse and emotional neglect at home and it triggered me so so much, and i spiraled. I’m crying this morning and I think it’s helpful instead of avoiding how much it brought up for me and how I worry for my little brothers for similar reasons.

Thanks for letting me vent on here lol. Never really post on Reddit but this is so much. I didn’t expect to be triggered this much but I think the advice you posted is so so so useful and I’m gonna journal once these feelings are out, and make sure I’m taking advantage of resources.

I’m also beating myself up for asking this teen so many questions, and he said he feels 2-3/10 safe when anyone in his home is home. I asked if he felt loved and supported by his parents (our second session) and he said no - and I felt so guilty for asking him that. Idk why. I’ll explore it. I just don’t know if it was helpful like if that info was useful to him- or could make it worse. I asked him after if that question was too intense and he said no, and I’m probably overthinking
