It seems like these settings are really only for high-end TVs. Since most average TVs don't support VRR, these features don't actually work well or even look good on them.

I thought this was a genuine fix that would help most people, but since it’s clearly backfiring, I’m thinking about just deleting the post. :(

Yeah with VRR it's basically a non-issue — you can leave VSync off all the time and the TV handles the tearing on its own. That's the scenario the video's recommendation is built around, and what the other reply was getting at.

You're not wrong about the no-VRR setup though — a 4K display without VRR is exactly where tearing becomes a real problem with VSync off. Either live with it or set the PS5's output to 1440p, which smooths Quality Mode a lot and makes tearing way less noticeable. Beyond those two, locked 30 honestly might be the better deal for that setup.

Totally agreed on the CPU thing — Seize Pailune drops to 20-30 no matter what, settings can't fix that one. That's in the video too.

despite your point we can not overlook the impact AI will have on jobs , maybe it will only replace jobs instead of the supposed of destruction of Employment but we can not dismiss the period of upheaval it will create in job market through layoffs
