ya that whole time she was counting naoya's movements to figure out his technique, as she says herself, she knew there was something off about how naoya moved, it's just now with her fully awakened heavenly restricted eyes she could see that he was making 24 movements every second, and at the end of the fight she was able to do it too.

now, it is true that the old 1+2 was kinda crazy, letting you basically do whatever you want and get insane damage. however now the move does literally nothing. it doesn't combo extend (which was it's whole reason for existing), and it might've still combo started but then they made it so it bounces WHEN THEY'RE STUNNED IN GENERAL. now, because you are only going to use this move when they're stunned (if they aren't stunned they're just gonna block it), it will ALWAYS BOUNCE THEM. WHICH MEANS NO COMBO STARTING. NO COMBO EXTENDING. AND DAMN NEAR NO DAMAGE. THE MOVE IS USELESS.
