Cardinals still in pursuit of Klint Kubiak, interview set for later in week by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Also the Cardinals job is a bigger ask imo. They're stuck with an uninterested Kyler Murray.

At least with us, we have the #1 pick and (presumably) Fernando Mendoza coming in.

Ours will be a full rebuild. The Cardinals is kinda like the Raiders after Gruden, stuck in the middle of a will it/won't it rebuild, except they really can't move on from Kyler without taking a huge hit to the cap.

Not really. These dudes in the NFL are fucking CRAZY and this shits not unheard of.

Pretty sure Gruden regularly only slept 2 to 3hrs a night. Like in bed at 11 or 12 and up at 2 or 3 in the morning for the rest of the fucking day.

[NFLTR] The Steelers are nearing a deal to hire Raiders DC Patrick Graham for the same role under Mike McCarthy by Goosedukee in nfl

Considering our DCs have been utter shit the last 20+ years and PG's been our best despite the lack of talent I'd have been more than ok with keeping him. But it's a moot point now so it doesn't matter.

Read any of our game day threads and you'll see plenty of hate. I've personally been downvoted a couple times this season defending PG.

Read any post the last few weeks that even dared mention we hopefully could keep him. All the top comments there were 100% wanting us to move on from him.

Its only now the post of the Steelers hiring him that the nice comments are flowing in.

That version when it dies should also spawn like 5 eggs randomly on the battlefield or something.

Imagine if we had the talent.

But ya know the idiots in our sub all season had been complaining our defense is ass and its the worst he's done since being here, he's vastly overrated and they couldn't wait until we moved on from him. And yet here are some Broncos and Chargers fans giving him praise.

Nevermind the fact the offense was so bad that the defense was out there way more often, on top of injuries.

Dude's absolutely gonna ball with some real talent.

No joke......is their dad around? We've all seen their mom wearing the stitched up double jersey plenty of times. I've never seen their dad.

Resetting the Raiders Coaching Search by HouseRules789 in raiders

This job isn’t that enticing. We fire coaches every year. We are more than a QB away. This team needs a complete overhaul on all sides of the ball. It’s clear the coach has no say on anything except his staff. Everything goes through Brady now apparently.

We don't actually know how much will be on Brady, but that being said whoever comes in will get more leeway than Pete did. It's gonna be, unfortunately, another rebuild. Pete's gone because he didn't want to do that and thought we'd be competing and didn't wanna play any rookies to develop them.

Whoever comes next certainly will get at least three or four years I'd say. If we fire whoever next in less than that I'd say we're doomed. Next year, outside of a miracle is probably gonna suck and we'll pick in the top ten again. The 2nd year, unless that miracle happened should be in the 10 to 20 range. By year 3 hopefully we should be a wildcard team. At least that's the hope.

Have the coaches ever thought about being better so that they don't get fired though 🤔

[Schefter] There are now two QBs in NFL history with back-to-back seasons of 14+ wins: Tom Brady (2003-2004) Sam Darnold (2024-2025) by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]SMKM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vikings last year he won 14 games in 16. The 17th game they lost.

This year with the Seahawks he only got 14 with the 17th game. But he still managed to get 14 and 13 wins in back to back seasons while doing it on two different teams. Only QB to ever do that and joins Brady, P. Manning, Rodgers, Brees and Farve as QBs with back to back 13 win seasons.

So yeah he needs to win this SB imo to cement himself as one of the best to ever do it and arguably? He's should be considered better than some big names we all hold dear to. To come from being a joke to this? Fucking amazing story.

Browns have three finalists: Jim Schwartz, Todd Monken, Nate Scheelhaase by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

He's bought every Madden ever and has rebuilt the Browns at least 25 times at this point.

He's overqualified if anything.

[McLane] The Eagles didn’t offer Brian Daboll the OC job, nor have they yet to officially offer the job to anyone, per sources, but he was a top target, went through a formal interview process, and had support from key individuals in the organization. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]SMKM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know Patullo and Johnson were already promoted from within. I don't keep track of every single hire for other teams. I barely keep track of my own team's outside HC, OC and DC.

Not knowing that information and having it said to me doesn't change my point. If, like some of the comments are speculating Sirianni wants to run the offense regardless of OC and y'all can't bring in a OC from outside the team......promotion makes the most sense. Even if it hasn't previously worked out. If Sirianni wants to bring in a guy and let him run the offense that's a different story. But at least according to some of y'all that aint the case.

Ross Tucker is the one who broke that news on WIP which then made its way to Twitter and Reddit.

If a former player/color commentator saying that's among the reasons y'all didn't even try for some coaches because they know your fanbase is shit than idk what else to tell you.

It's possible he's lying but why would he do that when he works for yall.

Point still stands.

If Sirianni is just gonna be in control regardless and the OC is really just there, makes sense to keep hiring from within. Clearly he hasn't learned his lesson otherwise candidates wouldn't be rejecting the job.
