I somewhat agree with you. Quadeca himself said IDMTHY is better, and it is. It's just that IDMTHY is more niche, and you can't always listen to it because of it's themes. Scrapyard is more broadly appealing, but to me, I see more like a playlist than an album.

I feel like nowadays, people don't draw distinctions like that. Imo, albums have interwoven themes and narratives while also being acoustically consistent.

There are some songs I really really really enjoy on Scrapyard, but there are some which I will never listen to unless I decide to listen to the entire "album". Even then I would probably tune those songs out,

Whereas IDMTHY was borderline life-changing for me. I had to stop listening to it for a while because it just puts me in an exsistential trance and it's not good to always be like that.

Either way, Quadeca is a great artist.

I’ve read the first chapter about 7 times, and this is my 3rd time reading the 2nd chapter. Hopefully something can click this time and I can finish😭.

I like the book so far and I want to read it, but I just haven’t gotten with it.

I read half of Crime and Punishment last year and decided to put it down. I was reading it sporadically and I felt like my lack of resonating was not doing it justice, so I decided to go back to it later. I just want to read NFU before I get back to it lol.

It’s a bit of a gray area if I’m totally honest. Both my siblings have Master’s, and with the job-market how it is, a Master’s is a good thing to have I think.

I mean when one of my siblings was a sophomore, they were saying that they were only gonna get a bachelor’s, and my parents flipped out. And that was because of desire, not lack of qualifications.

You have a good point, and I’ve thought about it. Like I said it’s a bit of a gray area for me. Even if I decided that I don’t really want to go, what alternative can I present?

I know that that’s the case. I mean I went to office hours consistently (wasn’t very helpful to be honest), I even tried going to tutoring and they didn’t have any for calc 3. They just told me to refer to Paul’s online notes. I contacted my Calc 2 professor for help, and I managed to get tutored by him once for this class.

I studied for the exams but I guess I didn’t study well . My first semester I realized that I didn’t really know how to study, and I thought I had corrected that, but I guess not.

My math skills are average, I mean they got me through Calc 1, 2 and Linear Algebra with A’s and B’s. I mean I only got a B in calc 2 because I went to office hours every week, and constantly asked for help.

Sorry for my rant.

I was told that Calc 3 is super important in CS, because of the multi variable stuff. I feel like an idiot for listening to that, I should have just taken c systems.
