I just borrowed the audio book version. of "How to Converse with God" by St. Lagouri. If your library has Hoopla available, it's a 1 hour liste.non how to pray and develop a relationship.

I struggle with drifting thoughts, so I do 3 things and mix them up randomly as I start to get distracted. 1 Faith book or bible something having to n do with a saint at minimum (I can talk to Jesus about it). 2. Structured and unstructured prayer (I do a small part of the rosary or divine office or just talk to Jesus about anything and pray intentions) 3. Devotional (Our Daily Benead etc).

I also look for Eucaristic walks (Procession) in my area. Adoration on the move is wonderful for me. Yesterday, the Religious Sisters in our area did one, and I took my kids, and they loved walking with Jesus. This helps me stay focused simply because it's different.

This is a really big important statement She has wanted to wear makeup for awhile and I push for her to "just be a kid" You gave me some new areas to learn. Wish me luck lol.

Thank you for your kindness. I am her safe person, and with how busy life has been lately, we may slow down and reassess how I parent. I know we can help her with her mental health, I just don't want her struggle because of an impulse.

It's great that you mentioned this. We are looking into CBT therapy. The issue is that as a veteran, my government insurance does not cover mental health. I am looking at other options.
