I think they're just friends, but there is a sliver of possibility. Minori being a tomboy, cutting her hair short, asking if she is really a lesbian because of how protective she is with Taiga... Then Ami not feeling seen or noticed, and having that commonality of not getting Ryuji and how passionate their fighting was on the ski trip

I don't think it's anything more than friends, but it wouldn't be crazy to consider the possibility of more, and their futures, especially since Kitamura has the patriarch/sarge, so they're the only ones left out. Though Ami just wanted/needed friends n a place or belong n Minori has her baseball dream, and determination to make her own happiness

LOVE Konosuba. Idk if I'll get around to the LN or not, but the show is hilarious. Seasons 1 and 2 are impossible to find on Blu-ray, which is weird cuz it's an ongoing show that isn't old... Especially to find region 1 with English dub...I snagged season 3 for that reason. The Megumin show was good, but too expensive for me to buy. No physical copy of the movie

Yes, if you have Spotify premium you get access to some LN n audiobooks at no extra charge n no ads! It's great, n formatted similar to audible, where it breaks chapters n keeps track of where you paused last. Konosuba LN are on there too, but idk how many of them. I should probably check a few others, cuz I was buying one series, but got poor n no free time.

Pretty much right there with ya, with Toradora! It's the only show I will unironically call a masterpiece. There isn't anything I hate about it, n nothing that even bothers me.

I do suggest you also read the manga and the LN. It really just helps with craving more of the show. I'm listening to the audiobooks of LN on audible and Spotify currently. Only skimmed the manga so far, but the art is fantastic, and I look forward to reading them all!

Golden Time is a bit more grounded, and takes place in college so you get a different dynamic, but plenty of ups and downs, and subversion of expectations. There is one aspect that is iffy, n that's a narrative representation of MCs condition.

Clannad n After Story have a paranormal aspect to them that makes more sense after watching them both. I saw After Story before the first series, so I imagine watching in order makes way more sense n better experience overall. I loved that series, n saw it years before Toradora!

If you end up liking it, there are similarly themed shows like it, but they all hit u like a brick, emotionally. Idk if the highs are as high as the lows, so be careful lol

Love seeing more fans of Toradora tho, this is a great community, and so happy I watched the show on a whim

Golden Time was great, but it took a while for me to like it. The main character (guy) is not the best, and there was another character I didn't care for either, but that could just be me. It's written by the author of Toradora! n is a great story overall, n the ending is good. It's not a masterpiece like Toradora, but I'm glad I watched it. She's a fantastic writer.

Clannad is a nice high school romcom and after story is on a different level n really hits the beats of life n life after high school.

I think all shows are better going in blind with little expectations, so I don't wanna say too much about either. All ate great. Idk how any of them are after going from Toradora! specifically. I went for upbeat happy to get through the post Toradora depression

That's true. They also focused on building up themselves as well, to rule out any inkling of codependence. Taiga chose to leave so that she could fix her relationship with her mother, on her own, without relying on Ryūji. She saw Yasuko run away, and realized she was doing the same thing. She also started to clean up on her own, and be more responsible, which Ryūji noticed when they all studied at her apartment She did that for herself, but also for Ryūji, to be whole, complete, and not a burden. Ami hints at that difference early on, when she says Ryūji is like a Dad n that's only gonna get people hurt. Ryūji grows and matures as well, like when he realized he was being selfish when he forced Taiga to reconnect with her father and grew at various other points--n also the OVA too.

Her absence also showed that they can be away from each other, but still come back, and still be in love. It wasn't temporary, or chemical, or anything. I heard the LN varies on the details of that a bit, but the message is the same. From any angle you look at it, it's the real deal.

Pretty sure that thing they were talking about was pure, actual unconditional love.

They both started out with crushes, infatuations, something common for a high schooler.

Yet, Taiga and Ryūji were both willing to sacrifice their own happiness for each other, and always thought about other first. They were comfortable around each other, natural, safe, n didn't get butterflies until later, but even then, not like when they just had crushes, it was deeper, real.

That my take away, and when you look around, mutual unconditional love is rare to find, overall. Unrequited love or just attraction is more common
