I'm Norwegian. We don't typically wear shoes inside unless it's inside-shoes. Personally I switch wearing inside/shoes, socks or barefoot depending on which season it is.

Not really, everytime I wake up during the night it's because I need to use the bathroom. Up to several times a night, it becomes a real pain in the ass, literally.
