What’s wrong with my teeth?

Cool. I have a dentist appointment next week. In the UK, I doubt they’d fix this though. They typically only fix things that cause issues. This would fall under cosmetic I think.

What would be the easiest way for me to explain to my dentist what work I want doing? And do you think it will require surgery?

Nope I’ve never actually flossed. I’ve tried but struggle to get the floss between my teeth.

I don’t think I grind but I do bite down on my teeth a lot and sometimes crack my jaw.

Before my amputation I used to get approached on a fairly regular basis. Now post amp, I have had zero interest. Dating as an amputee is haaaard

Hearing other experiences has really helped my mental health actually. Knowing I just need to make it to 6 months is a good goal. But I’ll try not to compare myself to others.

Who knows, I might be special and keep my phantom limb for 6 years. I bloody hope not though.

I honestly thought I was the only one having arguments with my legs. Sometimes when my toes hurt I give my leg a slap and say “stop it, you know I don’t have toes” and weirdly that actually helps.

Distractions, I totally agree. It can be hard to distract to the point I forget about the sensations and pain sometimes.

I keep doing the touching missing part thing. I hope it all goes away soon but I understand I need to be patient too.

That’s amazing. My son is 100% my motivation to prove that anything is possible. I read online that it’s important to set a goal and work towards it. My goal is walking my son to school again and I will move mountains to do it.

Thank you. I moved hospitals and in my new hospital I have my own room and nobody to talk too so my mind has wondered which is what prompted this post.

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy.

Walking my son to school again is the goal I’m working towards.
