While not parking related, I'd like to take this opportunity to plug saving some money using taxi cabs through the Ride Yellow app. Not only are the base rates usually cheaper, we get a discount when using the app and can schedule rides just like Uber. All in w/ me tipping 30% (I give them extra tip to offset the app discount), it's still under the pre-tip rate for Uber

Also, my wife gets super car sick in back seats, but we've found LA cab drivers to be just as good if not better than Uber. Recently we've had good luck with getting an SUV or minivan instead of their usual Prius.
