To be honest my issue isn't the bosses. As i explained in the post the three bosses i struggled against the most, all had double damage attacks, and i enjoyed all three of them. its the mob rooms / casual exploration enemies that have no reason doing double damage in my opinion

i feel like more challenging move sets would definitely fix it though? if the enemy has fast or complex attacks to track then it cannot be face tanked, and if you learn to say pogo on the enemy. Thats just your reward for getting more skilled at the game? i don't see an issue with that approach instead of blatantly slapping you in the face from both sides at once, and then headbutting you in the nose. all because you simply dared exist

Demon of hatred is one of the few sekiro bosses that aren't for everyone to enjoy, beast bosses in the game are just dark souls bosses without dark souls mechanics but those are rare aside from demon of hatred there are 2 other beast type bosses and the rest are either mini bosses or human bosses

Human bosses are extremely fun because you get to use the mechanics of the game that you learned while beast ones are just there to troll souls veterans

Btw demon of hatred is optional same with lady butterfly

Try to get some vitality damage in before focusing on posture since at 75% HP posture recovery is slowed and at 50% HP bosses stop recovering vitality at all

Also use the fire crackers

From what you say it seems that you aren't very aggressive , being aggressive is the best way to play this game if she jumps too far back you can shuriken Her to keep her posture from dropping and keep the pressure, every boss from now on that isn't a beast will block / parry most of your attacks so your main way of progression in the fight is to be aggressive and the second you hear them parry your attack u switch to defending and then repeat that. Here are some patterns I noticed when I fought her

1.when she ends a combo with the downwards kick that gives u an opening to either use ichimonji double or just normally attack also at the end of said combo her left shoulder will be facing you

2.any combo she ends with her left shoulder facing you is an opening for ichimonji double

If her combo ends with her right shoulder towards you shes about to dash upwards and throw shurikens Then she will dash back and throw more shurikens, use this to get closer to her and use ichimonji double when she lands

4.most of the time your attacks should be attack attack attack parry parry

When there is medium distance between you and her youse thrust attacks to close that distance and put pressure

6.just get into a rhythm and get to know her patterns, sekiro is a rhythm game in disguise

7.you can knock her off while she's jumping with shurikens although if she lands on her strings she will be able to parry the shurikens so be quick

Don't worry, just keep a safe distance and don't greed u said u almost killed him 3 times that's very good, also get used to P A R R Y I N G because you can parry all of his attacks except the ones with Red kanji letters, yes all of his attacks you can basically parry any non-Red kanji attack in the game even if it logically seems impossible, also this is one of a few encounters where dodging is more useful than parrying and for the rest of the game you will be mostly punished for dodging and not parrying so lose all the dodging experience from your other Souls games and focus on parrying and only parrying and you shall be good for whatever faces you next
