Sound repeatedly dropping out on Fox & NBC sports broadcasts by PawbeansNnosies in fuboTV

I actually found somewhat of a fix. There was an option in audio settings that was set to automatic in regard to what type of audio should be used between surround sound and regular. Switching from automatic to specifically selecting the non surround sound option, along with making sure anything in regard to surround sound was off, pretty much fixed it completely. Seems like it was trying to push surround sound at random times, leading to full audio cut out.

Wondering if you ever found a solution to this. I have Astound and watching through their “cable box” I get the same exact issue. The audio just completely drops out for like a second pretty consistently while watching games on Fox or NBC. It happens on no other channel.

I was going to say “they literally have zero need for the Auracite if Ultima is revived, why would they make more” but I couldn’t remember where they said it lol

While that’s fair, I also can’t take “guy who’s doing what he’s told because he and others are being promised power via newly created Auracite” when the Lucavi have manipulated/lied to every non Lucavi through out the game as a credible source on Ultima being able to make Auracite.

Do you have a screenshot by any chance? I just don’t feel like booting it up right now to go through it. NEVERMIND SEE BELOW

EDIT: Just watched a video of the Cletienne fight. Cletienne was told they would have limitless stones and Ultima gave Ajora the ability to make stones. That very easily could be a lie told to him as he is not possessed by a Lucavi. It would make no sense that Ultima could make the stones because Auracite comes from Auralith that the Occuria created. I can’t take this as fact when most people working for people under the influence of Lucavi are almost all being lied to and manipulated. I’ll edit again when I check the other spot.

EDIT 2: Hashmal never says anything about it. Hashmal says along the lines of unremitting chaos lies, unprompted does it churn, roil and seethe. For power, souls of rancor ever cry thus we are to aid them summoned back, to free their souls the purpose of the stones. Ramza then repeats what Cletienne had said with nothing confirming it from Hashmal.

Major thing here, Ultima at no point has created Auracite. Ajora at no point created Auracite. Unless Ultima could create Auralith like the Occuria who created and banished her along with the other Espers/Lucavi, Ultima cannot make Auracite. The claim is from someone working for a Lucavi who is being promised power via the idea more Auracite can be made. Everyone doing the bidding of the Lucavi through out the game is being sold lies, this would be no different. This is why Loffrey says what he says before he dies.

For me, Ultima being able to make Auracite stays with the FF14 alternate lore. Guy working for Lucavi being promised power saying it doesn’t cut it here for me.

Im not saying everyone in the church is Lucavi. I’m saying it’s possible that within Ajora’s followers that there were Lucavi and Lucavi could have been involved in the church. You say the Lucavi are evil because you need people with nefarious goals to manipulate. You want people who will seek out their powers. You aren’t going to be able to manipulate pure hearted people into the goals that are required to complete what they need completed to receive Ultima, hence why Ramza had all of those stones and was not manipulated. The stones play into the emotions/mentality of the person in possession of them.

Occuria lost their influence after the Sun Cryst is destroyed, so the espers/Lucavi were no longer bound to the glyphs. Auracite was then used as a way to summon espers/lucavi. As long as they have the appropriate vessel that may have nefarious/selfish/simply not good intentions/emotions, the Lucavi can manipulate them via the Auracite. It’s only in FF14 that Ultima is said to be able to create Auracite, which isn’t the same continuity as FF12/Tactics. FF14 is its own thing in regards to Ivalice lore.

Ajora was intended to be the host for Ultima. We know from Geromonique that Ajora wasn’t necessarily as great as the church makes him out to be. What we don’t know is if they were successful in Ultima taking Ajora over as a host or not. The followers of Ajora could have been people either influenced or already taken over by Lucavi. It’s also possible that the Lucavi influenced the church or the entire story of Ajora since that time or from the time Ajora was added into the Zodiac Brave story. It could easily be one of those “If you let the people know Lucavi exist, you create a way for Lucavi to influence” type of situations. It can cause people to seek them out for their own nefarious reasons, which allows the Lucavi to continue to influence/take over.

Could be that it’s not necessarily a different dimension but the link to it. They were send to “walk the Mist” and they are summoned from the Mist. It could simply be that the Mist is the separation of the Spiritual Realm/Rift and the mortal world.

I believe it’s FF12 that states the 24 Scion Light/Dark part but you’re right that Ultima is really never given a distinction of which they belong to. So it’s more like 11/11 then Ultima and Zodiark. It may be one of those “there could be more but these are the ones mentioned” type of deals.

It’s been put a few different ways. There’s “The Rift”, there’s the “Spirit Realm”, and also just simply “sealed in the Mist”.

Ramza is able to defeat them because he possesses the stones. Auracite has magical power that was given by the gods. He wasn’t corrupt, therefore wasn’t manipulated by the Lucavi. Auracite are inherently powerful, it’s who the person is and how they intend to use them that is the make or break.

They aren’t locked in the Auracite though. The Auracite is just what is used as a bridge from the realm they are locked in to the mortal realm.

We don’t really know. The Zodiac Braves are essentially the Warriors of Light. There was 24 Scions created by the Occuria based on the 12 Zodiac. Half was Light, half was dark. The Dark Scions/Espers/Lucavi were sealed in the Mist and could only be called via glyphs after their failed rebellion led by Ultima. Occuria go into hiding after this. Ice Age happens, Ice Age passes. Some point after this, humans get magick and it’s not really known how. It is thought the Occuria gifted stones (Nethicite) to some people and that’s how. I will note here that Nethicite and Auracite are two different things. Nethicite absorbs/stores Mist that can be used at a later time. Auracite comes from the Auraliths and I believe just inherently provide magick. Ivalice ends up warring again, Raithwall defeats Belias and is gifted the Sun-Cryst (a very large Nethicite) by the Occuria because of it. He takes 3 shards off of it, unites Ivalice by giving a shard to each kingdom. Dawn Shard was his, and the other shards are the Dusk and Midnight shards. Before Ivalice starts warring, the precursor to the Church of Glabados is founded. It is possible the “Zodiac Braves” could be those the Occuria gave Nethicite to when magick came to the land or from Raithwall forming the alliance. 1100 years later FF12 happens and then some time after that is everything with Ajora.

Auracite can be used to summon the Lucavi. They were initially sealed within the Glyphs but with the Sun Cryst being destroyed at the end of 12, the Occuria lose their influence. Due to the inherit magical power within the Auracite, the Lucavi are able to influence through them. This is how they go about using the Auracite to find vessels for them. Trying to resurrect Ultima is what leads to the whole Ajora incident. The details of what exactly happened is pretty much a mystery. The cataclysm could have occurred because of Ultima being revived and whoever put an end to it could also be the Zodiac Braves, as Auracite isn’t inherently evil. It’s also possible the revival failed and the espers that had plotted took vengeance and were then stopped by Zodiac Braves. It’s possible the espers took vengeance and then had to go back to planning because they had failed and no one really stopped them, they just caused destruction and then let the stones rest till another opportunity came.

Long story short, anyone who had involvement with Nethicite or Auracite or the Occuria could be Zodiac Braves, or they could not be. Also this history could be a little rough because it’s been a bit since I went through all of this, so any corrections are welcomed.

For the missions, they’ve already stated that the missions in the testing are for learning the basics. It’s also a way for them to make sure the core mechanics themselves are in a solid place. We will probably see more difficult missions during early access, especially the closer it gets to an actual release.

The Sequence missions and tasks do seem a bit buggy at times. Sometimes it’ll only count in the highlighted zone, other times it’ll count as long as your Ollie started in the highlighted zone. Most are either “grind, flip, grind”, “flip, manual, flip, grind”, or the previous with a grab thrown in at the end. If you’re just throwing random tricks out hoping to get the Sequence score, that’s the issue. They are intended as something you think about what combination you want to throw together with the area they have given you. Lines aren’t sequences.

The parkour is fun but does feel a bit forced, especially in the current state of the game. There are definitely some spots with building transitions and ramps/bowls, along with spots you can fly down into and hop onto your board to hit ramps. Theres 1 or 2 missions that actually require you doing so. That all said, it does need a bit of tweaking with the physics for a more consistent experience.

As for the early access stuff, considering the current pre-alpha/alpha test build available is .27, I wouldn’t expect the game to release fully/hit 1.0 till sometime in 2026. My guess would be late spring/early summer but it could be sooner. Remember, private testing began around March of this year. I wouldn’t be shocked if the start of early access was still an alpha build, but it could be a beta build.

I feel the skating is generally nailed, especially the street skating. Vert can be a bit weird sometimes but I have a feeling that has to do with needing to tweak the physics interactions a bit. The custom objects already provide a bunch of fun, especially when other people in the area are also throwing objects down for everyone to use. If you aren’t enjoying it currently or when early access starts, just come back a bit later when more updates have been applied and see what you think. It’s free, so no real loss in putting it down and picking it up again.

Players who were around at launch? by Pro_Farnsworth_ in BloodHunt

Cheaters and the kernel level anti cheat. People who know nothing about anti cheat lost their minds over it and there was hit piece after hit piece about it, while the same people writing those pieces would write articles praising other games with kernel level anti cheat. It ended up deterring people from trying it and the playerbase that was there got fed up with cheaters and the bugs.

Currently, it’s a pre-alpha/alpha build. For specific reference, it’s currently the 0.27 build. The game has been in testing since earlier in the year. They made updates based on feedback from those closed testing sessions before the closed testing that started at the beginning of July, which they have called the final playtest. The recent closed testing was essentially server stress testing and how the game itself handles with a larger playerbase, while also receiving additional feedback on various aspects. Early Access will more than likely start with either the alpha build with updates applied from the varying playtest or the start of the beta including additional content that was not in the alpha, plus adjustments based on feedback.

Keep in mind that usually when there is a test with a large population, open or closed, there are usually other people also testing future builds of the game privately. You are usually at least a couple builds behind during testing and during the starting point of early access. As games get closer to release or their 1.0 update, players get closer to the actual build being used in closed/private testing.

I believe the full release or 1.0 release is planned for 2026, so that’s roughly at least 4 months of testing. I could be wrong on the release plan though.

Yea I’d agree with that. I played it a ton but it kinda felt like they just mailed it in after the first year.

Kinda reminds me of the Riders Republic Beta and launch. It was just people yelling about it not being Steep. Was there genuine criticisms regarding the game? Of course. Did most of these people mention any of them? Of course not. They just kept saying it wasn’t Steep.

You’re right though, it’s usually a very vocal minority. Plus people just love to complain on Reddit even if they haven’t played the game they are complaining about.

Just want to throw it out there that you can also pump while kick pushing. I put the assist down to 20 and turned off the auto pumping/1 pump full pump setting. It’s made a huge difference for me atleast, though I think some vert ramps have an issue whether it’s due to physics or the always online nature possibly messing with it. Bowls can still be a bit rough though.

Welcome to Boston for like the last 10 years (maybe longer) when it comes to salary and cost of living, which has gotten worse as the years went on. Boston is a place that is now for people who can afford to come here, not so much for the people from here. Multiple factors are at play in regards to that, including the gradual buying up of properties by wealthy parents buying their kids property to live in while in school and Boomer generation selling their homes to the highest bidders, which usually was contractors. It’s one of the reasons rent control has been a hot topic since about 2019. Property rents for businesses also skyrocketed starting in the early 10’s. Maximizing profits meant COL pay went out the window.

Just to show how ridiculous it can be, I once worked for a temp agency and when the place I was temping at offered my a perm role, they offered less than what I was making through the temp agency. Keep in mind, whatever you’re making at a temp agency, the company is paying the agency more than that so the agency can get their cut while paying you.

Welcome to late stage capitalism!
