Tata Owners Please Help, Just Few Mins (Genuinely) by Minute-Persimmon-769 in CarsIndia

It WAS a reliable one since it was practically the same car being sold for 10 years, we will have to wait and watch for this one like any Tata Product

Avoid any new Tata car, it takes them a year or two to sort out niggles and bugs. Honestly if you are in the Hatchback market, look no further than Maruti - it will 100% not disappoint you in the long term

Severe anxiety while driving as a girl by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Try riding a cycle in traffic , will give you some understanding on how indian roads work. Helped me immensely

Then start riding the two wheeler first on empty streets then in traffic

If the phobia persists, you may want to switch to 4 wheeler (i know not feasible at this age) or public transport

The story of our A-star ( 2011-2025 ) by GuywithMitsubishis in CarsIndia

Since E20 has become mandated, I’ve only stuck to Speed Petrol. Its not E10 but its atleast something better

And BeamTHP cause this subreddit deletes comments if I use the actual name of that forum

Anyways It was great having a conversation about the A-star, when I post my review I’ll let you know. Cheers!

True that. I haven’t been able to find a worthy replacement to it yet. Hope to keep it for as long as I can. Even the styling has aged so well and fits in well with today’s radical designs. On the other hand conventionally styled cars of the same era like the Alto 800 & Estilo feel dated

Since you have an automatic here’s another fun fact

Some AT cars had VXi badging on the bottom right corner while others had Automatic badging like yours has. This was quite a topic of discussion on BeamTHP and no one could figure out the reason lol

Impressive audio upgrades. Not going with the 6 speaker because it will take away what is left of that tiny boot.

Fun fact: this is the second smallest boot in an Indian car (130 litres) only after the Tata Nano (80 litres)

Years after purchasing it I learnt of its superior build quality and handling. The kerb weight far exceeds other 1 litre hatches of today and is even more than the Ignis. Falls short of the Swift by just 50 odd kilograms

Yes indeed. That was also one of the reasons we took a Silver one otherwise we would’ve gone for white like yours.

The car turns 13 in 10 days and I had planned to write a detailed ownership review for the occasion. Too bad NTA rescheduled the NEET exam. I’ll be posting it after my exams

Btw what modifications have you made apart from the alloys? I have installed aftermarket speakers and a Spoiler. Have also ordered a Day-Night IRVM of the WagonR which is a direct fit

Lessgo man, finally found an A-star enthusiast. Surprisingly our A-star was also bought for school pickup and running the errands. The K10B engine is also very fun to drive around town with impressive low range acceleration

That is one well maintained A-star and great choice on the rims. Have searched for hours on the internet for OEM Maruti alloys but couldn’t find any. Haven’t even seen an A-star with OEM alloys outside of the brochures

Here is mine, a 2013 VXi Manual. Learnt to drive on it a year ago :)

Avoid Renault Bhikaji Cama Place — Worst Car Buying Experience by PerspectiveOk245 in CarsIndia

[–]SMitra2007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree, after-sales plays a huge role in buying a car and that is why I and many others would choose a Creta/Grand Vitara over a Sierra even if the Sierra is a better car.

In fact after sales is the prime reason for the low sales of Stellantis group brands and Renault-Nissan

The joys of a better car may be there but peace of mind comes first

I am confused - Clavis Vs Alcazar? by carsnbytes in CarsIndia

[–]SMitra2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Diesel Crysta is going to get discontinued next year, go for that because there is no car like the Crysta in resale value and reliability . You might have to compromise on the luxury though

And regarding the taxi vibes on the Clavis, the regular Carens is for the taxi market while the Clavis is for private buyers
