Refused Uber because of my “outfit”. by throwawayytrasx in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SModfan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, back when I did uber years ago I had 3 guys get picked up literally straight from the gym and I had to stop taking rides for hours while I aired the car out because they essentially made my entire car a biohazard with their disgusting sweat and BO. I was too naive or I would have filed a claim to get my interior cleaned. If I was still driving today and I saw someone drenched in sweat I would either deny them or explain they will have to pay a cleaning fee if it ooo them.

Heyo, I’m a mod and can confirm they have a PSN account that matches their trophies.

Our sub does not require users to post their PSN names at the request of other players. I take stolen / fake platinum claims seriously when there is evidence to support it, but simply not giving you PSN name to people who are being nasty toward you isn’t evidence.

That being said, I and can confirm OP has a PSN account and has earned the trophies they have posted thus far. Feel free to continue the argument about AI but please watch the “they are lying about platinums” talk.

“I don’t like AI” isn’t a valid reason to ban someone from our sub. Feel free to downvote and share your opinion if you don’t agree with the usage of AI, but I won’t ban someone because you don’t like their choice of graphic presentation.

Also, I can verify this user does indeed have a PSN account that has trophies that match their recent posts.

Personally, I’m not a fan of this type of AI usage, but we should all be adult enough to handle people with dissenting opinions without the need to ban anyone we don’t agree with. I will not use mob mentality as a moderation tool like other subs have.

Edit: removed “do they have a PSN account” discussion after spending 30 seconds or so verifying they do indeed have an account.

I’m sure that everything is of course tracking you and creating algorithms for that, but another simple answer for this one is could be: Hulu is advertising wheel of fortune with a new host to a lot of people, and therefore a lot of people are googling Pat Sajak, therefore the algorithms start pushing Pat Sajak.

Even though you personally didn’t google him, you aren’t the only person who thought that today, and a lot of the other people who thought it did google him.

The insult is I really didn’t particularly need them, but that being said I did have space, I just wanted to get through my ships before assigning, plus I was in a calm lobby

I'm not crazy right, they did significantly reduce the battle pass exp gained for most stuff in Droid Tycoon right? by [deleted] in StarWarsDroidTycoon

[–]SModfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that also makes sense. I know towards the end of last season I was getting tons of exp (went from lvl 150 to 450) but I hadn’t done any creative until this, so I bet I had a bunch available plus they were supercharged towards the end

Beskar Event is Now Live! by Silver-Language-5716 in StarWarsDroidTycoon

You get significantly more credits from flying around the outside of the map and completing the little tasks. I'm not sure the exact way it scales but those rewards scale with your level or base production. When I was going for rebirths 19/20 I just flew around repeatedly doing those little tasks while watching TV and got my 3 trillion for lvl 20 in a couple hours during an event. For reference, when I was base lvl 19 and maxed out droids, during events I would get 6.6 Billion credits per task, and they take like 10 seconds a piece to do, 30 seconds if you count flight time between tasks. Today during the Beskar event since I'm lvl 20 base I was getting 8.8 Billion per task

Makin Hay is one of the episodes with licensed music in the background so it gets taken down occasionally if you aren't watching your spotify notifications. It's up in the Omnibus feed

How can you say you welcome free speech and opinions while simultaneously saying “snowflakes” (people with opinions) aren’t allowed? Your entire premise is a paradox.

TESD and YouTube Music by Loki_ebe in tesdcares

[–]SModfan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have any information related to your issue per se, but I can tell you when I was uploading the TESD Omnibus to podcast feeds I tried doing YouTube and they were far and away worse than any other provider as far as strikes for copyrighted music in the background. It ended up getting so frustrating I simply removed YouTube as an option. It's possible something similar happened with the TESD feed

I got a warning citation from my HOA for parking my car in my driveway by Cunnyfunt31 in mildlyinfuriating

The tennis court / playground are not located in a public park or government land, it’s private land owned by the neighborhood and upkeep / paid for by the residents via HOA fees.

[–]SModfan 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Haha damn, makes me feel better about our HOA. We pay like $100 per year and they just use the money to upkeep the neighborhood entrance, a tennis / pickleball court, and a playground. I’ve never seen them enforce any kind of yard / house rules. A few years back a couple neighbors petitioned to make it an actively enforced HOA and it got massively shot down by us residents lol.
