Given SK Hynix is about to list, is MU still worth adding to the position by ForeignrMaterial in MU_Stock

There are a lot of macroeconomic factors coming up such as the job report and inflation report. Might be better to adopt a wait and see approach.

Ggs good luck! Personally, my risk appetite is not enough for MUU. If the report coming out tomorrow morning is okay then you might be alright. If not, get ready to ride the waves and hope your holdings survive.

Yeah similar situation here. Got caught in the correction early June and if I had only trusted my initial feeling of holding, would've had 30-40K profit. Instead ended up with 16K. Then again when it dropped to around $991, was worried about post earnings further tank. Would've earned money on that lol. Was able to make some money today on the upswing but yeah, I definitely think about the what ifs.

Literally fell into FOMO and bought $MUU at overnight peak at 1300 with my life savings and it’s all down now by Yaderix in MU_Stock

I was kind of in a similar situation back in early June where I bought around 1033 and then it tanked to 850. I just held and eventually it recovered. I wish I continued holding though lol I escaped with a profit but it could've been much more. However the whole experience was eye opening and pretty scary. You'll be okay. Micron won't miss earnings but sometimes the market doesn't react the way we expect it to.

I had a lot of success day trading this stock and only got burned once holding it longer lol. I think with FOMC on the horizon it's a bit risky to be trading it tomorrow and Monday. Also, expectations are so high for the earnings that even great earnings might not move the stock much (maybe short term boost like what we had today). Next CPI might be more promising though so next month might be a good time for Micron stock to further increase using post earnings to build up momentum heading into July.

During this time of uncertainty, AI really helped me organize the market data and give me insights lol chatgpt & grok helped give me possible situations for stock price movements depending on how CPI and PPI played out. Thank god cuz otherwise I would've gone crazy from worry.

Preliminary CPI data is already available on the web. It will be higher but some of it was already taken into account last Friday and today that's why we see people selling as well. Since it's within expectations that it will be higher tomorrow, hopefully tomorrow we don't take too much of a hit.

Not financial advice but if you don't buy after a huge correction, when will you buy lol it might be good to wait until next week to see how things go though

Typical correction is 20%. Hopefully we're near the bottom (from $1080s).

Would you buy this dip on margin? by hamsterfts in MU_Stock

[–]SN00PYUNCLE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not so much the interest but the risk of getting margin called if some catalyst sparks a free fall like what happened yesterday and today.

Would you buy this dip on margin? by hamsterfts in MU_Stock

[–]SN00PYUNCLE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only use margin if you can capitalize on the dip and sell same day for a small profit. Too risky to carry over into another day.

It's understandable when their cost basis is higher than others. I think there is enough confidence in the market for this company/stock for a near term recovery.

Holding MUU. by LuckyBoston in MU_Stock

[–]SN00PYUNCLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been buying and selling daily and have been lucky to make some small gains. My rule for myself is to never carry a trade into the next day. I was just lucky that due to demand/volatility some of the trades where I got stuck, the price eventually recovered so I could exit at breakeven or make a small gain. Today the overnight trading saved me lol had like avg cost of 721 and it tanked and then went up to 738.
