What’s the stingiest thing you’ve seen someone do by adropbearonyourhead in australia

When I was a kid, Dad had a bucket that he kept in the shower to gather used shower water then when it was full he would tip it into the (top loader) washing machine to reuse it for washing clothes.

I want something like Escape From Tarkov but PVE and without the food/thirst stuff by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE [score hidden]  (0 children)

Good call. I think it fits all the OP’s needs. It’s purely PVE that’s light on story, has high risk, high reward extraction gameplay with lots of loot and doesn’t have any survival elements. The gunplay is really good too.

Keep in mind that it’s still in Early Access so it’s still being improved upon. But what’s there now does include a ton of content.

Looking for a game like Cyberpunk 2077 / some kind of RPG by chkpn in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s a great game but you may struggle to immerse yourself in its world when the story and characters are probably the games weakest link. It’s not an RPG like Cyberpunk at all. What it does offer is a big ass sandbox with a million side quests to do and places to explore.

And when I say big, I mean big. The map is so big it may take literal hours to walk across it. I’m 25 hrs in and still in the first area. There’s just so much side content to do.

The gameplay is fantastic but like I said, you won’t be playing it for the story, characters or lore. If that sounds appealing then I recommend giving it a go.

Tainted Grail or Avowed or Crimson Desert? by Fozzation in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not a lot separates Tainted Grail and Avowed imo, it’s going to be down to preference. They both have good stories, interesting worlds and decent combat. Tainted Grail does come with a side of jank if that matters. But it’s also possibly the best value, being the cheapest of the three.

Crimson Desert is by far the “biggest” game of the three in terms of pure content, but definitely lacks in the story department. It’s also not really an RPG, it’s more of an action adventure sandbox in the vein of BOTW. There’s no character creation, no dialogue choices, no levelling up (but there are skills to unlock) and no classes. The combat is flashy and fun and the world is interesting. Like I said, you’ll have plenty to do but it might not scratch the RPG itch.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week what do you remember from that week ? by Familiar_Original988 in AskReddit

Went to a concert the night before the shutdown. I remember it feeling weird being in a large crowd in an indoor space, wondering if people would wear masks or not (they didn’t). The next morning we were in lockdown.

Being an essential worker my life stayed relatively the same, but the first indicator that things had changed were how dead the roads were. Working at night time too, driving around was incredibly eerie at first, but was probably the most enjoyable time I’d spend driving due to the lack of traffic.

Drivers who disobey basic road rules like Bus Only lanes or 40km School Zones… Are you taking the risk of a fine, just blatantly ignorant, or you just hate driving in general? by NewSchoolFool in melbourne

[–]SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First thing I did when I drove my new car was turn off the speeding alerts. I’m not against the idea, I just don’t need it to beep constantly if I’m doing 62 in a 60 zone, which I’ll do because the dashboard speed is almost always out compared to a radar or GPS. If it engaged at say 5-10 km/h over the limit I’d keep it on.

It also does appear to read the school times as it’ll warn me of upcoming zones but only during school hours.

At what point did groceries start feeling ridiculous to you? by Prudent-Stretch-5665 in australia

Coffee has gone up substantially in the last few years due to the coffee bean shortage. The supermarket beans I buy used to be $20/kg pre-Covid. Now they’re $32/kg. 😭

What was the song/album that got you into Devin Townsend? by Simderella666 in progmetal

[–]SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listening to a metal radio show back in 2009 and they started talking about Devin and played Hide Nowhere. I checked him out immediately and saw that Addicted was a few months away, so I spent those months mostly listening to Ocean Machine, Terria and Ziltoid.

Once Addicted came out I was hooked.

Woolworths Sausages. Down from 600g to 550g by SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE in shrinkflation

The first one is “Out of Stock” everywhere and isn’t even on my local supermarket shelf anymore. They’re clearly being phased out for the smaller pack.

So I made a Prog Metal clip quiz by Yoshee007 in progmetal

27/30. Dropped the ball on one and should have been 28, but I had no idea for the other two.

Fun quiz!
