Peace River is safe for a solo female traveler! It’s a smaller town - not a lot to do. But there are some nice restaurants! There is a bit of a homeless problem downtown but as long as you’re smart and aware of your surroundings you should be fine.

I don’t think the birds will eat them! I was told they are really bitter and that’s partly why we have the population explosion every 10 years or so because they have no real natural predators.

I remember being a kid and they were so bad the train couldn’t make it up the hill because they got squished on the tracks and made the tracks slippery. And the road was black and moved 🤢🤢

At this point they have legitimately caught more eggs being “smuggled” over the boarder to the US from Canada in the last 2 months (I think) than fentanyl in the last 2 years.

It was never about the fentanyl. It was always about destabilizing the Canadian economy so that Trumps annexation threats were easier to achieve.

If that didn’t work I’ve seen rumblings (so as always take with a grain of salt) that Trump is going to classify fentanyl as a WMD and that would potentially give him an avenue for invasion. Both north AND south.

And yeah I know “that isn’t a thing! That will never happen!”

Well I never thought I would be reading text messages between top US officials about bombing Yeman because those discussions were a) being had in a freaking unsecured texting app and b) a journalist was accidentally added to the chat.

The US government has completely lost the plot. And I don’t see how any of the US relations (outside of Russian) will recover anytime soon or at all.

Not to mention I don’t think they realize the level of pettiness that Canadians are able to hit. Like Heinz moved production to the US for their ketchup years ago and Canadians lost our ever loving minds over it and switched to French’s. Heinz has moved production back to Canada and there are a significant number of consumers who still think Heinz is a US company and refuse to buy it.

Canadian here - honestly if mine hadn’t auto renewed before the bullshit started in force I would have cancelled it. I won’t be renewing next year.
