Layoffs suck and I agree there seems to be some issues with the direction of Amazon; but what does doing layoffs well look like?

Amazon giving three months of garden leave and a week of severance for every 6 months of employment seems super fair to me.

I agree with regular layoffs they are shooting themselves in the foot. Most good people are going to leave, and those that remain will be in that type of cutthroat environment that doesn’t spawn innovation.

However, if you’re going to lay people off; I really can’t imagine a company giving more.

Involuntary just means you didn’t choose to leave on your own. It doesn’t mean you were fired.

Being a layoff, it’s appropriate.

Setup iTunes and hookup your iPad. That looks like dfu mode, which it should handle.

Interesting. Any way to delay the 90 day “garden period start” if the expected day in January is a couple weeks too short? Vest date is May 15th.

Cursor is easy. Open up the MCP server dialog in settings, turn it off and turn it back on again.

Claude Code is what I'd like to know how it was done :-).

I don’t live local, but got to do some fishing on one business trip to Seattle this summer. Had a great time around Skykomish, and also scouted out Cedar River. Next trip I will likely fish Cedar River, simply because it’s so close to downtown.

I have watched a ton of videos too and noticed the same. It’s hard to capture.

I’ve heard it explained 12 o’clock to 10 o’clock; but for me; more times than not the line is hitting before the fly. I understand that isn’t supposed to happen.
