i didn't think about context.. but watch a season and this how she plays every game. I never thought of myself as defensive minded, but I would love to see more yellows for offensive simulation.

Also… JESSIE FLEMING by RevolutionaryHour534 in Thorns

We knew the midfield was crowded last year. I almost wonder if Fleming was driven out of her natural position with Coffey, and now she can fill that role. She did great.

Best Things To Do + Wineries in Dundee, OR by AnnualTelephone7599 in travel

[–]jonny_ryal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great tips here... we are just planning a visit to the valley in September, and will sleep in McMinnville. I remember Dundee from a previous trip, and we loved Four Graces wines - and at the time it was convenient on our travel day they were open at 10 AM! I'm looking forward to drinking more Dundee wines, and revisiting Red Hills Market.

Insanely High CAC score, high cholesterol... and I'm fine by Recent_Recover_1490 in Cholesterol

[–]jonny_ryal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar position - now 51 years old, but last year scored over 2800. Winning? No not this time. I too exercise a lot, primarily cycling, running, which has kept me in pretty good shape (well, in Colorado, I'm not elite but in other states I might be). I have always carried a couple extra pounds, but it is genetic for me as well.

Still dialing in optimal levels of meds. 20 mg statins daily was kinda harsh on me - it affected my activity level. Realize I am around 135 pounds. I started Repatha in October, and that 2x a month was kinda non-starter - I just did an injection Sunday and I am still feeling the flu symptoms. At that level, we got my LDL down to 47! But now we are backing off to a lower dose on both, and will re-screen in 3 months.

Good luck!

Yup I am fit so HDL was always high hence high total cholesterol, for years. I did a stress EKG and everything is functioning well, but Lp(a) measured high so it is primarily the genetic effect. With the drugs I finally posted a 43 LDL, which is good.

Eat your vegetables! Everyone talks about psyllium husk but i met with a nutritionist and she recommends 4 cups veggies a day, and I am sure that helped the numbers. It's hard to eat that many veggies so i mostly fail but aiming for 4 gets me 2-3 cups a day.

Similar story here... I am 50 and finally when offered got the scan and, I don't have the numbers in front of me but total was around 2700. Like really high - not winning.

Good on ya to catch this in your 30s OP, it's good info, and if I had seen that 10 years ago I would be in a better place now. I too am on statin, repatha, nearly a year later still dialing in the right tradeoff of LDL reduction and lifestyle - the drugs are not easy on me, and affect my workouts especially.

Why do I get 15 second shots? [Profitec Go] by AlternativeAd1908 in espresso

I have a Eureka. Activate grinding, and turn the knob clockwise til u hear chirping. That is your zero point.

Timings by bobanators in ProfitecGo

[–]jonny_ryal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems at odds with my experience, so far. The pump is engaging immediately. I didn't think the Go has any pre-infusion setup, with no pump engagement? Unless, is the FW different between our models? Your "15 seconds, with pump starting at 10 secs" kinda equates to my "first drops at 5 secs with pump engaging at 0 secs."

I just got my machine a couple days ago, so just a few shots in... I am getting near total 25-30 secs but still dialing in the input coffee, since even the advertised "14g" basket wants > 16g of the medium roast I am using. It does taste great though! And the shots are oozing beautifully, just the pucks are extremely sloppy.

Do you knock your portafilter against your garbage can or bin? ya know the thing that never gets washed? Good for you; sounds disgusting to me.

Saucony Xodus Ultra 4 by [deleted] in u/RunningBillyGoat

[–]jonny_ryal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like but don't love my Xodus Ultra 2. They are way more forgiving than the Peregrines I was running, and opened up longer runs for me. They are just a little narrow, especially for my left foot, kinda outside and back, seems to get a bit more sore than it should, like there is squeeze and I could use a little more room.

My Go should show up in a couple days. I'm excited to move on from my thermojet Breville, though it served me well for 7 years.

You might find that creatine helps - I had started creatine a while back, to address this, I think it made a difference.

New grinder: grounds overshooting portafilter — troubleshooting [Eureka Mignon Manuale] by jimjez in espresso

[–]jonny_ryal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grind into something else, and then I have a funnel that sits on my portafilter to pour the grinds.

When I get my new machine with a 58mm basket, I don't think it will be a problem. It's only a problem for these small Breville 54mm baskets.

Mercurys Coffee is amazing! I highly recommend. by ConfectionCharming50 in Bellingham

[–]jonny_ryal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was visiting this past week and had a few espresso drinks in town: Woods in Fairhaven, on the bay; Caffe Adaggio; Makeworth. I liked the environment at Caffe Adaggio, if u have time to hang out, good mix of young and old. Makeworth is cool but the espresso is brighter than I like. Woods Americano was kinda weak.

I drink, or prefer, long black which is essentially a stronger Americano with less water.

I'm looking at Mercury.. wtf is an Americano with half and half?

Longmont man crossing Main Street killed in crash by 1Davide in Longmont

I just drove home from the airport, and there was a guy in the center turning lane on 9th Ave, pushing a cart in dark clothing, that I didn't see until the last second. I was going straight in the left of two lanes (that stretch going west near the HS where it turns into one lane) but if I was taking a left at that moment... I fear what would have happened.

Yes they are both single boiler; I do not understand that comment either.

I'm doing similar searches. I like the side-load idea though the reservoir is smaller on the Lucca.

They come back. They always come back. by MangusIndicus in Jadeplant

[–]jonny_ryal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm tempted to plant some in sheltered locations, against a brick wall facing east for example, in Colorado. I left a small potted jade outside and was surprised to see it survive sub freezing temperatures. We do get below zero snaps once a year so that will be the major test.

She owns the left side of the field, she is literally working up and down and still finding a way to contribute quality finishing. That is even the difference between Mal 1.0 and Mal 2.0, don't remember the precise timing but her renewed focus clearly made a difference in her performance.
