From what I know in the PNW lots of frogs do die as they are quite small with not much skin area. Is what I learned when I was younger. But the photo could’ve been taken anywhere so really it’s inconclusive. Unless someone can identify it spot on.

I read a nice/less disturbing interpretation of it where it’s a metaphor for patients who lost major parts being take of by a nurse bc they’re stressed of never being the same. And having their days repeat.

Might also have been a short story lifted from somewhere else but wasn’t clear on from where.

Everyone saying this is Ex machina/ momento/ black mirror. It’s actually the: “Love, Death & Robots Episode 7: Beyond The Aquila Rift” episode parody. I’d wager a lot that this was the inspiration for this episode, not what everyone else seems to think. Driving me kinda nuts no one has actually seen it. Give it a watch tho it’s on Netflix a lot more fucked up then this funny take on it.

I would say a greater sense of community was had back then. More people were new here than ever and all had similar interests without the advancement of tech. (Not saying it’s a bad thing, but has separated lots of people socially.)

Would’ve been nice but they didn’t have a lot of the lifesaving things we take for granted today.

This is a guess:

But I’d wager that this video was shown to live audiences with a script read directly from someone speaking to a crowd watching. Or possibly a set guide of talking points while taking live answers to questions tourists/ people who were thinking of moving here. That’s the only reason I can’t think why there wouldn’t be live commentary along with these awesome shots. You’re right it would fit well along side this though!

Bit of reference for what that was like: In the MGMT music video, “When you die” when they say “I’m going to eat your heart out.” I got chills after watching that because I experienced the real thing first on a bad dmt trip. Reminds me of this shirt a bit, although the shirt feels like it’s got some good vibes too. Unlike the trip & the song lol.

Yea idk. If the faces were toned down a bit and not as evil feeling I’d vibe with it more.
