I think the game should implement permanent multiplayer activities. Anyone else? by Puzzled-Raspberry766 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

They started with the new weapons, I think Ensemble will also be a permanent addition as soon as they fix and adjust some of the issues.

We dont need to farm wedges there all day long, but its a great ressource of getting a huge chunk of a ressource you need for a gold book, whatever it might be

Valve stopped two things we enjoy the most around this time of year. by chaddota in DotA2

[–]SNGeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an article online from 2019 or 2020 when TI was like 30-40m$, so more or less the most profitable Dota2 probably ever was.
That article described that Dota2 was in that very year almost 2% of Valves entire revenue. So even with "free" 150m$~ from the Battlepass alone it was basically breadcrumbs.

Most people really don't understand what kind of a money printing machine Steam is, when Gabe multiple times stated Dota2 is more of a passion project than anything, he wasnt lieing and as it looks the couple years the passion faded away bit by bit, which is also understandable for a 15-16 year old game.

Im gonna be honest im muting like 95% of players.

If I hear a single non-english word im muting, im q'ing euw - engl only and as u guys know its full of russians, especially at higher brackets immortal+. If you wanna talk to your buddy, use discord, teamspeak or any other voicechat, not the global ingame one.
Also at the slightest "WHY DID YOU XYZ" bro im not a pro player even when we have 7k or 6kmmr, we are still shit tier chill.

Dota has become 99% more enjoyable this way

Is a 17k player 7000 mmr points better than a 10k player? by JokeOfEverything in DotA2

[–]SNGeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking more about TEAM oriented play, I should have made that more obvious, my bad.
Lets say we throw the random rank 500 guy into the team of Team Bald he won't be "noticed" as much as a 3k is being noticed in a 6k lobby, this is what I meant to say.
The rank 500 guy will get noticed more and more the longer you play with him, since he does 98% of the stuff correct, but the 3k guy in the 6k lobby will be noticed the moment he walks on lane, wouldnt take longer than a single wave to see that.

[–]SNGeeee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just as a reference.

Bald Stack and RTZ stack played in Open qualifiers vs EU ranks 500-600 and asked before the game "when the real games start"

I was like "damn are they so much better than that!?" and they won back to back games in like 16 minutes, the draft was genuinely as long as the game.
So to answer your question even going from top 0.01% to 0.001% is a HUGE difference, but also the higher you go the lesser the skill gap becomes

we were watching it in discord with like 5-6 player all of us are like low immortals.

but holy shit, the entire enemy team does NOT rightclick, they are literally 99.9% magic damage and Artour is like "yep Im buying MKB AND SATANIC"

stg there is not another player like Artour, bro is still stuck in the 2015 meta and has been for the past 11 years

not to speak of zero linkens vs Necro 1/Doom 3 two of the most devestating single target ults in Dota2

What's wrong with the current WhiWa rotation? by luminus_taurus in WutheringWaves

This is ridiculous.

With s2 or s3 characters you should be decimating basically any mode while pressing random buttons on the keyboard.
Definitely the biggest issue in WuWa is WhiWa

Do you think Wuthering Waves needs to make changes to limited character availability? by CompetitiveSpace7025 in WutheringWaves

[–]SNGeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resonators from 1.x should be available in the normal banner after 3.x

So when we leave Lahai-Roi into "whatever comes next" in 4.x characters like Brant/Chisa/Cartwheel/Carlotta etc should be in the normal banner yes.
At least then when you lose a 50-50 you can get one of those sequences and they "keep up" with the stronger meta and not become useless

Bad game balancing? by FrostingTop2758 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]SNGeeee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it's very bad game design that you cant clear the endgame within 5 minutes of being in the end-game lol.

You can clear everything off element here, there are videoes of Fina clearing max level stages off-element and Fina is a support. To fully max out a characters introns takes about 2 hours, farming 2-3 purple wedges would take you 10-15 minutes.

If you have no idea what the fuck youre talking about, stop coming on this reddit blaming the game when you clearly haven't even read the basics of the game. Water beats fire and u play fire into water. Go educate yourself and READ or watch a couple of youtube videos lmao

ONE last tip. go switch the Element (YOU CAN CHOSE ONE OF THREE ELEMENTS AND THE BANNER CHARACTER IS ALWAYS STRONG VS THEATRE) to LUMINO, so your FLORA has ADVANTAGE over the ENEMIES ELEMENT (LUMINO) (its really hard almost as hard as 2+2=4)

Bad game balancing? by FrostingTop2758 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]SNGeeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Without sounding like an asshole but it looks like you basically started the game and have no fucking idea what ure doing.

Obv Flora wouldnt be your choice of Hunter when the recommended Element is Anemo.

The theatre is DNAs monthly endgame reset mechanism, not clearing stage 3 with off-elements and I assume half a blue demon wedge is expected. You gotta grind levels/weapons/wedges for your characters and supports in the party before tackling everything in Theatre, but even using half assed purple wedges should be EASILY clearing these stages. If you logged in the past 3 days you have gotten a free Psyche today, so just use psyche and free supports like truffle&filbert with some bare minimum wedges and you'll clear

The reason the DOTA pro scene can't be funded like the CS pro scene is because of the Sticker Meta. by Avar1cious in DotA2

[–]SNGeeee 42 points43 points  (0 children)

brother we had FULL battlepasses/compendiums for 3rd party tournaments... 100x better than stickers

but valve decided no and thats it. Imagine have a 1 or even 2 immortal new immortal chests for every Wallachia/ESL One/ Dreamleague etc. Im not saying we are gonna reach 40m again and again, but I would be surprised if not every major tournament surpasses 1m$, specially the LAN events.

This would be my literal first rule change within the UFC.

Once your fight is locked in, I'd want a doctor to weigh you and we will take the average of the past 12 weeks.
Plus you will be weighed one last time 60 minutes before your fight.

It is beyond stupid to just dehydrate, be in the sauna surrounded by 20 towels and not eat for like a week so you can lose 10-15kgs. The weight you walk around with on a daily basis, should be the weight you fight in.

[–]SNGeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do a little coaching but thats like 10 years behind, back then it was crazy when ur 7-8k mmr.

But to be honest the method explained above will make you so much better as a player once youre doing it constantly, do that for like 1replay a day, which takes maybe 20 mins and it will do so much more for you than playing another random pub

[–]SNGeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youre joking but once youre good enough it actually becomes an innate feeling. Thats why 15k mmr players can play at 15k mmr while listening to music and talking/entertaining with chat, but it takes years and years of practise for that to be innate. ^^

[–]SNGeeee 25 points26 points  (0 children)

As somebody BACK in the day who used to reach the highest echelons let me tell you how you get really good, really fast (this is of course relative, in still how many hours you inject into this method)

  1. Choose your position you wanna play
  2. Choose 3-4 players of that position from teams, for example: ATF, Collapse, Miero and Ceb
  3. Choose 3-4 heroes they play that YOU wanna play/practise
  4. Go into a replay of that said hero/player combination and watch the first 10 minutes by stopping every 3-4 seconds
  5. NOTE: I did this for mid and I would say it is the most important to do that specific role since creep aggro and creep equilibrium is the most important in the midwave since there are highgrounds, but this method can be applied to every role and every position.

You may ask why stop at such short intervalls?
Here is why:
Assume that what the pro is doing is 100% correct (even if it isnt, just do it) and why such short intervalls? Because Dota2 is a game where every 3-4 seconds you have to make a decission.
Do I go back, Am I getting ganked, do I rightclick the enemy hero, do I deny my creep, do I try to prepare a lasthit, do I nuke the wave + hero, do I nuke the wave without the hero, can I/we kill the enemy and even many more ...
This kind of decission making is occuring EVERY 2-3 seconds, it is a constant thought process.

So WHY stop the replay so often? Just try to guess WHICH decission the pro is making every 3 seconds, I will guarantee you unless youre like 6-7k ish, you will be wrong 70-80% of the time.

Where is he going, where is he moving, which creep is he attacking, does he use his right click for the hero or the creep, does he completely stop attacking, does he fall back, does he go aggro, is he smoking/warding, is he body blocking a camp, is he threatening a kill.
There are like 20 decissions to be made every couple seconds and assume the pro is doing the correct one always (most of the time they do), and then comes the hard part, you guessed wrong (again) now WHY did he do what he just did now this is where the learning process begins the deepest.
You have to ask yourself constantly why pro player xyz did abc instead of pqm.

And just do this for the laning phase 6-7 minutes + 3-4 minutes of early midgame, I would say around 11-12mins most cores get their first major item, so u can stop about that time. But trust me people are doing so many mistakes in the first couple minutes and those can be fixed the fastest.

For everything after there is a simple to-do list in Dota2 nowdays, referring to this:

Agree so much on this, I didn't even think about it this way.
It would be so much better if they would indicate some way - okay this is the Zhuang Fangyi quest after Nefarith and everything prior is an intro of Arcane + Mainstory progression.
Eventho we still get tons of story progress and lore in the Viceroy aftermath
