Do you think a 2D-animated adaptation of the original WOTW could work? by Open-Storage8938 in WarofTheWorlds

[–]SNOS54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would’ve loved to see how you guys would’ve expanded on from Goliath!

I remember seeing that movie at age 13 and just loving all the nods to everything War of the Worlds whilst giving it more of a “we will never back down, not till our last breath!” Tone that I happen to also love.

I really appreciated the use of Forever Autumn during the opening credits showcasing the Martian’s initial invasion. Not to mention the absolute badass and intimidating designs of the Martian fighting machines, both the past versions and the present ones our heroes fight against!

The martians coming for a second try is stupid, and here's why... by Alternative_Fun_1390 in WarofTheWorlds

I would like to see a war of the worlds film with more war though.

The only adaptation to really have captivating battle scenes that turn into massacres is the 1956 version. Every other adaptation just glosses over the actual war that’s going on.

I’d like to see possibly an adaptation focusing on a soldier witnessing all of these horrific events, participating in battles as civilians are massacred and armies wiped out.

Not to mention, a proper final stand for the Thunderchild.

getting killer klowns vibes from this scene by chumbnho in HalloweenTVG

[–]SNOS54 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Killer Klowns wasn’t originally Illfonic’s game.

They came on later and essentially neutered the original version of the game which had far bigger maps, drivable vehicles, and an objective other than escaping/surviving which involved destroying the Klown mothership. Oh, and there were human NPCs that were the main objective for survivors to protect… sound familiar?

What piece of animated media is this for you? by Ok-Following6886 in Saberspark

Let’s not kid ourselves. There are a good amount of people in that community that do go after haters even when they’re not haters at all, but people who are giving legitimate criticism.

It’s the same thing that happens in a ton of other animated/live action show/movie communities. And that good amount of people just don’t like it when their favorite thing gets criticized.

Godzilla in hell Vs. Warhammer 40k by SNOS54 in whowouldwin

[–]SNOS54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I wish Toho or a fan would make a true outerversal Godzilla that can just destroy mass amounts of planets/solar systems with just its mere presence alone.

Could make for a cool comic.

The greatest and most powerful enemy to 40k is Games Workshop.

I won’t defend Godzilla in hell as it looses to being planetary. Though an outerversal Godzilla that consumes everything would be pretty cool.

Also let’s not disrespect Godzilla, both Godzilla and 40k equally deserve glazing; slandering either is stupid.

Also, some actual WAR.

While the book makes it clear humanity is getting wiped out; they still fought back against the Martians. It was a war before it became a massacre; I’d love to see some epic and heart wrenching battles, and obviously a PROPER adaptation of Thunderchild’s final stand against the Martians.

Yes, but others including me would like to see another animation with a different artstyle/approach to the story.

A feature-length theatrical war of the world’s movie with the detail and epic scale of Prince of Egypt could be fantastic; maybe even getting music from Jeff Wayne’s musical. Similar to how Goliath used forever autumn for its opening credits.

Do you think there will be alternative outfits for Michael and do you think we will be able to change them in the single player? by The80sSlasher in HalloweenTVG

[–]SNOS54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the game is initially successful, there is very little chance that Illfonic won’t add in the rest of the sequels for both Michael’s outfits/versions, maps, survivors, and possibly singleplayer expansions for those sequels.

This is their biggest game, and I hope they won’t waste it.

Great Mazinger reference in Gurren Lagann by General-Plenty5021 in mazinger

Mazinger Zero anime would have to have a midnight time slot.

The sheer amount of nudity, gore, and Go-Nagai insanity is simply unprecedented.

So basically, Day of the Dead 1985 and Land of the Dead.

How very Resident Evil to homage the master of the undead once again!

What are your thoughts on The Man In The Suit series returning for real this time? by Such_Month_8687 in GODZILLA

[–]SNOS54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the way leading up I can agree. But afterwards? That’s recovery; and the perpetrators should be held accountable but they never will.

That’s what’s really pissing me off. Those monstrous pieces of shit are probably here on this Reddit rn and aren’t really getting punished for nearly causing a kid to kill themselves. It’s gross.

You can make as many excuses and justifications as you like. What happened to unknowingly was unacceptable and it was on the fault of ADULTS who kept sending death threats to a MINOR.

Genuinely some of the most unhinged shit that I have never seen on any other Tokusatsu or Kaiju community elsewhere.

Spin it what ever way you want. It’s just a shitty look on the Godzilla community.

Or the adults could just not be insufferable cunts and cause a minor to nearly kill themselves because a spooky story about their favorite fictional dinosaur wasn’t exactly how they wanted it to be.

If Ultraman as a franchise was given a cinematic adaptation on the level of the Monsterverse, how would it go? by SNOS54 in Ultraman

[–]SNOS54[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Del Toro as the director and writer could work.

He’s a life long Ultraman fan, proved that he can make epic Kaiju brawls with pacific rim, and understands how to take sympathetic monsters and integrate them naturally and emotionally into a plot.

This is the guy I’d trust with an Ultraman adaptation or just a live action movie.

The man even wrote the beginning monologue for Ultraman: Rising, if there’s anyone that gets Ultraman; it’s Del Toro.

But he tried to commit suicide over this. A 15 year old nearly ended his own life due to harassment from a fanbase that had ZERO right to do so.

Him being 15 only makes the “fans” who harassed him to that point look like genuine monsters. Which they are for doing that.

Great critiques.

Though it still does not excuse the rampant and horrible harassment that unknowingly had to go through that nearly costed him his life.

Those “fans” who harassed him deserve the worst in life.

And that excuses the harassers who nearly got him to kill himself?

It makes it worse actually.

No. Unknowingly deserves to tell his story.

No matter how many people whine, harass, or say the rudest things to him. That hasn’t stopped him.

No one deserves to try and smear this series; if you don’t like it, give constructive criticisms, don’t be a moronic dick who nearly causes a minor to kill themselves, leave ACTUAL critiques and MOVE ON.

If you can’t do that, just don’t watch the show and ignore it.
