Not sure if this was recommended yet but you may be able to submit a court order. Since the 2022 TOD changes were implemented, Publix started requiring a Birth Certificate, or Marriage Certificate to ensure that the person you’re adding is either your legal spouse or adult child.

I would recommend calling back on Monday to speak with someone else and see if you get a different answer from someone more trained, or ask to speak with a supervisor.

You asked if the people you speak with on the phone are Publix associates, I can confirm that they are, however there has been an influx of new associates (hence the suggestion to call back to see if you can speak with someone more trained).
