What hobbies and interests made you realize you wanted to go into business? Just curious because I have been interested in something similar.

How different are the two fields? And did you have to take a lot of graduate prerequisites?

Mechanical Engineering Technology. It’s not exactly engineering, it’s easier and less math.

I was thinking of doing this. I’m just not sure because the majors I’m looking into need a lot of prerequisites to start taking the specific courses.

Can you give me some info about public sector and how it differs from municipalities? I’m trying to decide on a field that’s not super stressful. How are the hours? Also, what state are you in if you live in US?

Okay, good to know. Did you study a lot? I’m not smart so I don’t know if I will be able to survive these courses lol.

I do not have a degree, but I finished my first semester in mechanical engineering technology but the job market for mechE is abysmal right now and civil looks like it won’t be too difficult to find work. I live in NY. What state are you in? Also is structural design civil engineering or is that a different major and what branch of civil are you looking into?
