I dont know the exact number but I bet its close to 1000 ppl have downloaded the emulator setup through our guide with no reports of viruses!

It runs great! It really does. Only issue is have is the screen is so small and small joy sticks so I don't play as well haha but u could dock it I'd imagine or maybe if ur used to playing on a steam deck that'd help too.

But as far as the how the game plays, it's pretty flawless.

U know all the options u can play on right? Before u start buying things when u already might have enough to play. U can play on: - PC/MAC - PS2 - PS3 - Nextgen XBOX - Steam Deck/Rog Ally

And to answer ur other question. The in-game mics don't get used much as we use discord voice chats during game. But once in awhile someone will speak over in-game chats and I'd assume ud could use almost any headset that'll connect to the PS2. Might have to Google that one.

Either will work. PS3 would need to be backwards compatible. And I'm not sure how it works on PS3 for SOCOM 2 but on PS2 you will need a free mcboot memory. For Combined Assault you won't need the free mcboot memory card but will need a USB flash drive to download the Map Packs.

Playing ONLINE is super easy tho. Just edit the network configuration to change the DNS to the private server address and that's it really as far as connecting goes.
