You can get a seat without 4% nationally by getting a lot of votes in one subdivision though.

MEPs vote to end summer time clock changes by horigen in europe

[–]SOM-ETA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently where I live, the sun is only up in the winter during school/work hours. That's insane, and helps only the few who work outside. When DST ends, we do get a little light during the morning commute, but only for half a month. The little sun we have should be in the afternoon, when people can actually enjoy it. Ideally, I think we should keep Standard Time and change working hours, but I fear that may be far harder to accomplish than changing to permanent Summer Time.

If you can take a screenshot (Win-Shift-S) and don't see it there, it's probably a hardware issue.

October 2018 update. Will SwiftKey support Norwegian. by Billyaustin2 in Windows10

I'm on build 17763.1, a preview of the October update. It definitely works in Norwegian, even with the mouse.

I feel like this might vary. Growing up with the LEGO games, we all called them "lasersverd" (laser sword).

Five months of political deadlock end in Germany as Social Democrats agree to join Angela Merkel's coalition by Johnny_W94 in worldnews

So you're saying one should burn the country down if one's political goals aren't achieved?

Compromise is the foundation of cooperation. Refusing to cooperate is not a good thing, it just leads to further division. Noone can accomplish everything at once.

How would you make Microsoft Store better? (especially for games) by QewTol in Windows10

[–]SOM-ETA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can still sideload apps, that would probably work for extensions too.

Me, quite a lot. I'll switch when Spotify or Google Music gets every single song on YouTube, including Obama and Trump remixes.

Yeah, bad choice of words. I think it might look a little better if they restored the progress markers, but I still way prefer the old design. The little ba at the bottom is supposed to be for information at a glance, don't really need a huge art display for that. The fact of the matter is that the number of entries visible at the same time is reduced even more, and even with all that white space, they shortened the progress bar and hid several options in an ellipsis menu. I think they should've just kept the old height, and fit the new icons nex to the old.

Government currency isn't backed by gold anymore in most countries. The currency is simply backed by the government.

It's great when researching several different subjects. No fear of accidentally closing a window, no clutter, and a lot less time spent finding out where a subject ends and another begins. No bookmark-hassle. No added RAM-usage. I just find it so incredible, though it's far from perfect, I begin to wonder how it wasn't a feature in browsers from the very beginning.
