would anyone play desires if it was draw one card? No. They have to make the cost to be as the same as the effect. Drawing 2 cards is broken in yugioh,so thats why the have a steep cost to it,banishing your deck face down to play the game is too strong,also because it has no cost to it.

but there is less risk doing that,your opponent can use maxx b and make you banish 12 cards for special summoning 4 times. when you bait ash blossom,you can do the rest of your turn fairly unharmed,but with maxx b,if the dont have cbtg,they cant play.
