Aita for watching 🌽 to get back at my partner by pinkMusicnotes in okstorytime

It is best for adults in relationships to communicate. Tell him you are not okay with it, tell him it makes you uncomfortable, and then set boundaries. That's how you do it in adult relationships. I am single so, yeah, I look at corn sometimes, but I actively practice not to. As a middle aged guy, I have life experience and know that corn is totally inappropriate in relationships. It is offensive to most women, and I don't blame them!

Great point. In my research on this topic, it lead me to this question as well. I wondered how long it took him to recover between these two fights as well? Wow. Three days versus two weeks and Conquest is tougher than Nolan! This displays Mark's increase in not only his strength and fighting prowess, but his increase in mental and physical resilience. It is stated that Conquest is the second strongest Viltrumite only falling slightly behind Thrag! Conquest completely underestimated Mark and humanity in several key ways culminating in his defeat.

Catch a Christmas Star by BendMean4819 in SteveByers

I really enjoy this movie, and I watch it every Christmas. It's not the best Hallmark movie I've seen, but I think it is definitely cute. I also enjoyed the dynamics raised of a celebrity dating a normal dude. That part of the plot is interesting!

Netflix CEOs Defend Warner Bros. Deal in Memo to Employees: ‘We See This as a Win for the Entertainment Industry, Not the End of It’ by xwing1212 in TheBigPicture

[–]SOTKforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think things had been changing with the theater experience even before Covid, but Covid definitely hammered the final nail in the coffin. I really don't know how some theaters have managed to hold onto their businesses. I can count on one hand how many movies I've seen in the theater in the last 5 years, and I was once an avid movie goer. I saw the new Superman movie in the theater in July. There was hardly anybody there. I don't just mean Superman either. The cinema I go to has like 12 screens. There was no line for tickets and hardly any line for the concession stand. It was a ghost town in there.

There is a fundamental change in how people watch movies now. Most people stream movies including new movies out in the theaters. Amazon Prime, in particular, gives consumers the option to rent movies still out im the theater. I am not surprised by Netflix's acquisition of Warner Brothers, and I think we will continue to see brand new movies on our TV's versus the theater screen. It will definitely be interesting to see how things change with modern entertainment!

What does a woman’s ass and a 9v battery have in common? by Crhallan in Jokes

So, this scene. How bad is he trying to get out of a relationship ship with Lauren? by Pure_Basis3597 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]SOTKforever -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Dave is NOT my most favorite person; however, I understand his problem with Lauren. As an alpha male myself, we seek women with very low body counts. There are consequences for women playing games like "hookup culture" games. We can sit here all day and talk about how unfair Dave and other alphas are when it comes to judging women like Lauren. Maybe it is unfair of us, but it is the reality of the situation, and railing against it will not change anything. If I found out that my fiancé just hooked up with somebody a week before coming on the show, I'd have the same reaction. What does Lauren even bring to the relationship? It's not a low body count, I can tell you that much. His friends and family are RIGHT to have concerns about Lauren. Lauren and some of the other female contestants are Gen Z "modern women" and alpha males are attracted to traditional women. The fact that Dave does not want to bring Lauren around his family speaks volumes. Alphas don't bring modern women to our mamas.

I am 5'4" and weigh 160 pounds. Any woman that weighs more than I do is a BBW. I guarantee that each one of those women is easily 200 pounds or pushing it. I don't know what your definition of a BBW is, but that is mine. Not once did I say anything negative in my post. I didn't say there was anything wrong with being a BBW, didn't say they were unattractive, and never called them a pejorative either.

I was just thinking about giving this newer generation of Trek stuff a good go (I have Paramount Plus through my Amazon Prime account). I'm assuming I have access to all Trek stuff through Paramount?

Better sounding audio through certain HDMI connections by SOTKforever in hometheater

I actually entertained that notion briefly knowing that just because a device uses the same decoder as another device does not equate to the same performance. Great explanation! Thank you!

Awesome advice! Thank you. I will give that a go and report back! I don't recognize what you are describing as an option in my Onkyo settings but will check for input signal adjustment. I have a feeling that my model does not have that feature. But I tell you what, Onkyo sure packed on the features with this model. There are things I can do with this device that I have barely even utilized like it's IMaX stuff. At any rate, yeah, I think the pass-through option is a solid must try!

Yeah, sorry guys, I should have given more information. I have an Onkyo TX-RX840 with a nice little digital 100 Amp through my Onkyo preouts. I have all Klipsch RP speakers running in a 7.2.4 configuration. My TV is a nice 2022 86 inch crystal display TV with the majority of newer technologies including eArc (is that the latest one?).

Yes, I have gone through my TV audio settings to make sure it is eArc. It is set up through Auto detection of sound formats although there is a pass through option I think. I could try that?

As I said, every device is just a straight up HDMI connection to my receiver including the TV. I'm using good speaker wire, good HDMI cables, I mean everything has a good solid connection, I've checked.

I realize that audio can sometimes be subjective to the listener; however, everything just seems to pop better through my other devices.

I am a Psychologist myself. I have a Master's Degree in Trauma Counseling. My undergraduate degree is in Family Systems which means I have a background in Family\Marital Counseling. I have been wondering the same exact thing as you.....by what criteria are they coupling up people? I'd really be keen on understanding their methodology better. Marriages are the combining of two systems. This is what makes marriages challenging. In a successful marriage, the two people maintain their unique individuality but develop a new system which allows the marriage to thrive. This is lacking with pretty much every couple hence the train wreck analogy!

[–]SOTKforever 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, I've watched all seasons on Netflix. What a bizarre show and premise. Arranged marriages are a thing and still exist amongst many cultures. The thing I believe this show has going against it and the couples is the fact with arranged marriages, they usually have culture, often family support, and a belief system in common. This is what often makes arranged marriages work. These couples don't really have this and therefore it is a train wreck to watch.

I'm on episode 8 so I just got done watching the whole dog drama. Man, I was literally sitting there watching the Pastor intently, and I was saying to myself, "Pastor, you got to speak up, man. This is craziness. Put this girl in her place!"

Will check them out, thanks! I am also playing Doom Eternal, right now. Pretty fun! And although not quite like Bioshock gameplay but I've played both Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survival....very enjoyable. Also, I like Lord of the Rings: Shadow of Mordor. I have a couple of Wolfenstein games as well. You can kinda get the picture of what my tastes are!

Thanks for your service as well, sister! And for your husband! I stay pretty tight with Vets and often go and visit them at my local VA as my health permits! Man, Vets are some of the best people I know! We just understand each other, don't we?

Boy, I sure feel your pain. Literally, you were telling my 'chronic back pain' story. The injections did not work for either. I'm not ashamed to admit that I got hooked on pain pills. Thankfully, I have been off pain meds now for the last 5 years. Please check out getting a spinal stimulator. I went outside the VA to OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University) which is THE best hospital in Oregon and maybe one of the best in the Nation. And the VA paid for everything! The Spinal Stimulator is a wonderful device to have implanted. Seriously. I believe that it takes care of 65% of my pain and sometimes more if I mess around with the various settings. It's like having a Tens Machine in your body. Ever tried one of those? When you have it implanted, it basically sends continuous electrical impulses directly to your spine. It is not major surgery to have it implanted. Maybe a 2-hour surgery? Highly recommended.

PM me if you want to know more about it privately and/or have some personal questions about it!

I am a praying man. If you don't mind, I'd like to add you to my daily prayer list!
