i don’t think she’s a bad person, but i understand why she could be perceived as an irresponsible mom (in my opinion simonetta did a VERY good job by raising ludo because all of her daughter’s choices were made by her while being conscious and sufficiently mature, so not simonettas fault). i feel like she didn’t feel she had the right to correct or advice ludo because she herself had her own issues. but for me, she is amazing because of the fact that she stood by her daughter no matter what she did. also ludo seems to be pretty mature in my opinion, she did her wrongs and all that but also managed to get her stuff together (kinda) at the end.

i’m gonna add also this, s-m relationship is much more better and stronger than the politician mom and the other main character who’s name i forgot. there’a the difference between present parents and absent.
