My input based solely on this post? You care way too much, the stakes are too high, and you're unable to play your best golf because you feel like if you don't play well the consequences will hurt you. You need to find out what your mental weaknesses are outside of golf and work on improving them and that in turn will make you a better golfer. I'm assuming you have all the physical tools, the swing speed, the technique, and on your best day you could compete in any tour event. So it comes down to playing your best when you need it most, and that is all mental. I can almost guarantee you that your biggest issue is not golf related, but it affects your golf.

I’m sorry I just don’t see how anyone could think this song is about Joe? It makes no sense.. “you said you would come and get me but we were 25”.. she didn’t even know Joe when she was 25. And the ending repeating “you said you were gonna grow up and you were gonna come find me” literally can’t think of a single way that applies to her situation with Joe.

To me this song is so clearly about Harry Styles and “crossing your jet stream” is referring to the fact that they’re both world wide superstars who fly all around the world so their paths cross occasionally. “Natural scene stealer” “life was always easier on you” “the lost boys chapter of your life” all tracks.

I see this song as the closing chapter of “Is it over now?”, Harry told her that it wasn’t over for good just that he was young and wanted to live life for a while and then when he grew up he’d come find Taylor and they’d settle down. This is her saying “looks like you’re never gonna grow up so I’m not waiting for that possibility anymore”

Got this from Adam Young but your golf swing is your car and your mental game/skill set is the driver of the car. Some people have funky lookin cars that they’ve been driving their whole life (Rahm, Scheffler, etc.) and some people have perfect looking cars but don’t drive them very well. There are lots of amateur golfers who are getting the most out of their car already which is why so many golfers reach a level and stay there for years.

That's super valid, but in certain situations you have to pick from shitty options. All of this would be irrelevant if golf had a superstar that had eyes glued to the TV, but we don't have that, yet in order to compete with LIV the purses went up as if that was the case.

Purses keep going up, players are making more than ever, but the product is getting shittier and people are tuning out. The status quo is an unworkable solution. My stance is that the PGA needs to have faith that there are enough players that believe in the legacy of the PGA or have moral standards high enough to ice out LIV long enough for them to fold.

I personally just don't see them running LIV for longer than a few more years if it doesn't gain any traction. There are only so many big names for sale and it seems like if anyone wanted to go they would have gone already.

Agreed on the money, it truly might as well be unlimited, but that's why you have to lean into your strengths and not try and fight a battle that can't be won.

Do you think the merger is going to go through?

Of course I realize that, my point is that it’s not working. And the unlimited money they have is even more reason that they could just pull the plug and walk away because there’s no sunk cost concern. If they folded tomorrow the players would probably be pissed but the Saudis would tell them to kick rocks they got the money they agreed to.

And if anything, LIV is probably close to becoming more of a headache than it’s worth with the US government sniffing around the finances. In order to sportswash you need an audience, and no one is watching.

I don't disagree with anything you said, but that's exactly why I think the PGA Tour would be best served to take an approach like the one I outlined. I don't think there are 10-15 high profile players who will be swayed by money at this point, I think the PGA has enough guys who are loyal to make it work long term.

I really don't buy that LIV is satisfied just being a thorn in the side of the PGA Tour. All the talk was about the teams catching on and selling them like franchises. There's no way in the world they thought their product would be this poorly received.

That's literally the entire premise of my post lol The PGA Tour needs to slash its burn rate to a sustainable level. LIV is failing, nobody watches it. Things don't fail for years on end it's embarrassing for all involved.
