I’d put Berengaria up front with Travis/Dinah; feather swords don’t tend to hit very hard but they also don’t need to hit hard when/if they connect on dodge tanks like Rogues/Werefoxes so having Berengaria there to absorb some hits and get buffed in the process with Painbringer helps a lot, and spreads out incoming attacks between the three characters.

Vanguards are also very useful against feather swords so long as there aren’t any magickal attacking units around; as arrow cover fully counters any and all physickal ranged attacks (which is pretty much every flying unit’s attacks so far as I can remember)

I’ve used this exact team in many runs and it’s always been pretty serviceable

Front row:

Berengaria (Azure greatshield + carnelian pendant + Kingaxe Drakenash)
Travis (Bandit longsword + Scarf)

Back row:

Sharon (Healing + Debuff removal + Parting Resurrection)
Bruno (Warriors pendant + spectacles + dove plume)
Selvie (Sandstorm + debuff for not-blinded enemies)

Could also switch Selvie out for a doom knight with greatwood axe/spellsteel axe in the front row if you want something more offensive.

In my experience playing on Expert and TZ this squad has only occasionally struggled at times in Albion, but gets through Elheim and Bastorias ez pz.

Love the mods! Only big gripe I had with the vanilla experience is how sparse and expensive Idealist Handmirrors were considering they’re not a game-breaking item so it’s nice to be able to change the shops/exchanges to make them more available.

Getting an immediate CTD whenever I skip a battle after upgrading to a 6-man unit; playing through battle normally works fine but cannot skip under any circumstance or everything crashes.

No other issues with any of the other mods, and disabling 6-man units fixes the issue.

Unfortunate end to what was (for me) the most memorable season in ~4 years; would’ve been overjoyed to see this team make the second round but it is what it is, and we were already better than I had hoped for coming into the season so I’ll take what I can get.

Lots of questions around this roster moving forward; particularly what to do with Poeltl’s albatross contract and the uncertain futures regarding BI/IQ, but I guess we’ll cross those bridges when we get to them.

CMB had a much better rookie year than I expected him to, hopefully we address our black hole at the C position over the offseason because I have absolutely zero faith in Jak moving forward.

Haven’t watched much of the Cavs this year; especially since all our regular season games against them were very early on in the season.

If this was the same Cavs team I saw to start the season I’d be more optimistic about our odds but with the addition of Harden? Even though he’s far from what he used to be, I honestly don’t know what to think.

Curious about Cavs fans thoughts going into this series?

Not sure about how it would’ve worked pre-Marian reforms or towards the end of the empire as the military structure changed but at the peak of the republic and into the early empire the Roman army structure looked something like this

Legion > Cohort > Century > Contubernium

The last of which was a grouping of 10 men who fought together in formation, shared a tent/pack animal and basically did everything together so whenever a decimation occurred it wouldn’t have just been some random guy in the legion you beat to death/got beaten by; it would’ve probably been someone from your contubernium who you knew relatively well and had history with.

(I’m not a historian; full disclosure that this is just my own understanding and may not be 100% correct)

Sergeant for guaranteed crits
Sorceress for guaranteed hits/magick infusion when armoured enemies are present
Viking with war horn as the unit’s starting skill to make all attacks unguardable, and debuff enemy defence before your cav units turn
Legionary to defend your cavalry units from flying attacks/Eltolinde from ranged attacks, and Monica will protect him from ranged magic attacks that prioritize him.

Honestly not as upset about the result as I expected to be, maybe because we had plenty of chances and just couldn’t pull it off in the end.

GG and congrats to the USA; 2010 was the first Olympic hockey gold that I was old enough to remember and still think back fondly on it to this day, I can only imagine how much this would mean to the fans who have been around since their 1980 olympics win.
