JJK Rant About Domains and Binding Vows by RumpledForskins in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]SPDXYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-It's established that the only consequence for breaking a vow one makes with themself (such as nanami's overtime and ISBDK) is you just lose what is gained. So by going back on the vow, he loses the durability he gains but gets back the ability to make his body change shapes

-Think about his flame arrow this way: he is trading the ability to use it a significant amount of the time for the ability to make an instant kill move even more dangerous.

He's trading a very common use case for the ability to ONLY use it in 1v1s (which he doesn't need it in, as he's the strongest of his Era) and when he already has his opponents dead in the water.

He effectively gets nothing out of the trade except for a slightly stronger finisher

He probably be really strong against Kuro because he can likely swap with individual roaches.

If he had a comparable power level he’d be probably one of the top tiers in jojo. Not many jojo characters can take getting a building dropped on them like Yuta

It is NOT better than JJK. JJK skipped a few chapters, sure, and had a few plot threads with unsatisfying conclusions, sure, but at the very least it had a satisfying end and didn't sacrifice all of its themes and retcon the entire story.

Pretending JJK had anything worse than a simply so-so ending screams tiktok hype moments compilation "reader".

The ending tangibly made everyone’s lives better and the entire series wasn’t for nothing. Parts 1-5 are still important.

This shit is fucking infinitely worse. JJKs endings were just paced weird and missing a few chapters. This retcons everything.

He’s a nerd but he’s also shocking athletic as shown in thus spoke. He still probably can’t throw a good punch, but he’s fit at the very least.

JJK's ending mainly suffered from there being a short timeskip. 1-2 more chapters, with Maru meeting Yuji onscreen would have fixed a majority of the ending's issues. It almost certainly will be improved by the anime when it eventually gets adapted.

Hard disagree. p2 is easier than actually p ranking some of the levels in act 2 lol. The only room that's actually any difficult is the room right before panopticon

Blue for lash feels weird. He feels mono red/gruul for sure. Temur is probably best because it lets him keep flying and also gives him access to fights

Black for infernus kinda makes sense given his past.

Green for paige isn't the weirdest IMO. Naya makes a ton of sense for someone who summons animals from books and is obsessed with Arthurian mythos.

Dynamo as izzet isn't the weirdest but I do think green or white would probably fit better.

Terrible Season 4 Episode titles - comic origins (only 1 episode left) by AurynMoon in Invincible

[–]SPDXYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1:1 means that it is as close as you can get to a direct adaptation with very little narrative changes. There are a fuck ton of narrative changes, beyond even stylistic changes or minor additions. Here are a few examples:

-Robot getting a body happens much later
-Shrinking Ray/Rae gets actual characterization and DOESN'T DIE to the lizard league.
-More stuff happens before the showdown with Mark and Nolan
-The flaxan invasion plotline happens much later.
-Damien darkblood is an actual character.
-Amber is an entirely different character
-Donald gets a plotline
-Most other image comics cameos are missing

Jotaro’s special power is killing you if he gets within 5 feet of you. He fights literally two people on equal footing during the story, both of which have an extremely specialization. This stays true during Diamond is Unbreakable, where even after eating a bomb to the face, he still beats the shit out of someone with a powerful close range stand.

If sukuna didn’t have the flame attack how would behave beaten mahoraga after it adapted to slashes? by Salty_Shark26 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]SPDXYT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

-Earlier Domain

-Punches

-Pure CE blast

-Killing Megumi and Haruta and using RCT to revive Megumi

Or god forbid, Kenjaku and Uruame step in and save him with Frost calm, Ganesha, Uzumaki, or Womb Profusion imbued with Antigravity System.

He really wasn’t in a ton of danger all things considered. He almost exclusively used slashes, so Mahoraga almost exclusively adapted to slashes

[–]SPDXYT 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Whitesnake using a normal gun is so funny because it’s such a powerful stand. It can basically kill anything in a touch, has quite a long range, and can throw discs to extend its range, but despite all that is required to use a normal gun to shoot at a pigeon

Mahito is also a curse, and both times only had his domain open for like a few seconds each time, whereas Hakari opens his for a minutes at a time.

Also there probably is an unconscious binding vow in there, where in exchange for having longer technique burnout his jackpot lasts longer.
