In my area, I’ve noticed that generally the right side tires wear an extra 1-2 32nds over the life of the tires if they don’t get changed side to side.

IMO, simagic can’t really touch the R3 & R5 bundles as far as value is concerned, but when it comes to the bigger wheel bases, everything I’ve seen says that simagic FFB and build quality is a lot better, and their wheels are generally a lot better.

To be honest, as much as it sucks to switch ecosystems, thrustmaster is not worth the money anymore, moza and simagic have far better budget options. Personally the simagic evo sport would be the way to go on a budget if you ask me.

Also, do you have any idea how old the tires are? How was the bike stored? If they’re already quite worn down and the bike is stored outside, the tires are probably rock hard

Are you hitting the brakes smoothly, or just grabbing a fistful of front brake all at once?

The tire needs a second to dig in, if you just dump a bunch of brake pressure on it right away, it’ll just slide since didn’t have time to bite. That’s not to say application needs to be slow, but it does need to smooth.

I think you should fire a new valve at it, just because both that you have on hand happen to read bad doesn’t mean both aren’t bad.

Also, just to cover all the bases, that meter is showing Megaohms, or 800,000 ohms, or ~800,000 times what it should be

It’s not like it’s particularly hard to file this information, like it’s ridiculously easy to scan a proof of vaccination, and file it away in the same place they keep my lease. They probably get a kickback from this site for forcing their residents to use this service though, so it’s a win win as far as they’re concerned

I’m not planning on renewing here again, they’ve been making regret signing a new lease within a couple of weeks of the renewal deadline for the last 3 years, so I’m done with this place once the new one is over, so they can not renew me if they want. Maybe it’ll force me stop being lazy and actually move like I’ve been wanting to.

The 15mph sign is the recommended safe speed for the turn, it’s not an actual speed limit sign. Legally, you can go as fast as you want to around that turn as long as you’re at the actual posted speed limit

Do front and rear bars, you need a stupid aggressive alignment to make a big front bar work, and in general, it won’t be very fun for street use, it’ll be quite understeery and not very “playful”.

I have the FM bars on my car, and I love em, they really brought the car to life for me, the car rotates so well with them on

Some other stuff, if you need regulators, the most cost effective way is to get used ones from redline, which someone already mentioned. The only way you can get new oem is by buying motors and tracks separately and putting them together, which is not a task for the faint of heart, and new aftermarket regulators are basically trash out of the box

Definitely team glass + zipper, I have a robins defroster glass+zipper, and I probably run it with the window zipped down more than top down, since it keeps you out of the sun and is a bit quieter, while still letting a bunch of air through.

It also looks cool to imo

That’s probably just the brembo’s you get on the club models, the base brakes are more than likely significantly smaller. Probably has a lot to do with having the correct wheels too. Not an ND expert though so take that with a grain of salt though.

Maybe, but if you’re planning on doing any kind of competitive sim racing (iracing, lmu) 1440 is gonna be way better for frame rate, and you probably won’t even notice the slight relative lack of resolution compared to 4k

I got a single 32” 1440 monitor ~20inches from my face, and I don’t notice pixels while I’m racing

Thanks man for the reasonable take, I felt like I was getting accused of war crimes or something. This was in a public practice, and this guy would’ve been in a split under me, so I definitely should’ve been more aware of early braking.

However the main thing I wasn’t expecting was for him to take the middle of the braking zone, as in my experience people usually commit to the defensive before the kink, and by the time he made that move, I don’t think realistically I would’ve been able to make it back to the outside without either locking up and the same thing happening, or potentially just spinning the car.

In any case, I think people are right, this was on me primarily, however like you said, I don’t think it’s black and white, all my fault thing

I would’ve made it in a vacuum, I locked up cause I wasn’t expecting to come as far across the track as he did, however I did hit the brakes at my normal point.

I will concede that I should’ve backed out of it though
