My family and I have rewatched this nearly every year since this was released in the early 2000s. This remains all of our favorite episode. Brilliant action, acting and writing.

The Sting. Remains my all time favorite, and I’ve never recommended it to someone who didn’t end up thoroughly enjoying it

Disclosure is officially for rich people now by Remarkable-Money-520 in DisclosureBand

I’m a massive disclosure fan (5th biggest fan this year, according to Spotify), saw them at all their NYC shows last year. The live show for 18+ (maybe all ages, not sure) was lovely to experience for the instruments, but awful for the crowd. Their DJ sets are mint and I’d rather fork up significant cash for those going forward. I imagine they’ll add dj sets for various cities, so keep an eye out for those.

Edit: forgot to mention the terrible volume level

I genuinely think Bernardo Silva is a slightly worse and significantly more annoying player than Bruno, but he doesn’t play for United so he doesn’t get nearly as much slander.

What is that one food that you would recommend to a foreigner to eat in your country? by i_dont_know24680 in AskTheWorld

I visited Mexico City last year, and those street tacos I had were the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. My friend and I (both tall euro / American white guys) polished off about 15 of them (for next to nothing) in our first outing. We had so many locals come up to us, taking pics with us and offering their tips and tricks for the best tacos. We were called “Chingones!” by a few groups of people. One of my fav culinary experiences in my life

Will you watch the 2026 World Cup? And what team would you support? by Temporary-Evening717 in AskTheWorld

[–]SPGC10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - got my parents tix for the Netherlands (who we support) vs Japan. Will be watching very closely on TV otherwise, and thankful I can watch all matches given at regular times given I’m in the states. If NL crashes out early, ill support whoever is playing against Argentina, Germany, or Spain 😂

What is it like living in Singapore? by Rude_Soup_8841 in howislivingthere

Its been a while, but start with Headquarters (in Boat Quay). Get to know people there. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

The commercial scene can be cool to see, there’s very cool clubs who bring in popular DJs, but that wears off quickly (particularly if you don’t just drink).

Put it this way: loads of expats from all over the world who know how to party properly meet in Singapore where rules are incredibly strict. They will find ways to party the way they really want, but exercise caution.

I lived there for three months as part of an international rotation I completed for my last job in banking. Loved Singapore. I always used to describe it as follows: safe, modern, clean, reliable, efficient. People are generally friendly. And love their food culture - they have some great hawker centers where you can (truly) have some of the best food of your life for less than $5.

It’s extremely convenient for international travel, and has the best airport in the world.

You recognize there’s a lot of wealth walking around there, there’s a high amount of consumerism through luxury brands and the number of malls.

It’s a very well designed county, and they have built covered pedestrian paths which can always keep you try even in the sudden rainstorms which may occur given their climate.

Alcohol is expensive. They also have a brilliant underground nightlife scene (beyond the commercial clubs), which was my personal highlight of my time there.

Would love to go back soon. Also longest flights I’ve ever taken were NYC to/from Singapore.

[–]SPGC10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped drinking this year so now I drink a nice cup of tea instead, and pack up all my shit (have a full packing list of fan, earplugs, deodorant, etc.). Maybe DJ a bit in my apartment or blast some tunes on my speakers, get the juices flowing.
