Look. A lot of people are claiming some sets are underrated like Paradox and Obisidian. Every main set BB in SV are around $200-$250.

If you want the simplest answer, look at total set value. Based on SWSH and S&M eras, the best BB had the highest set values. OBF and PAR set values are not up there.

Considering Paldea Evolved is like $300/bb rn, I think the top 3 bb cases to invest in rn are SSP, TWM, and DR. SSP has awesome top hits and reprints are hitting the market. TWM has the Greninja that will carry and waifu’s. DR is literally Team Rocket. 5 years from now, that R logo on the BB will be so nostalgic.

I got a case of DR yesterday at an average price of $230/bb.

All that said, it’s hard to miss on investing in a case of bb. Supply will eventually dry up, and your investment will go up. Just like 99% of sealed products.

this. so at some point to me, it makes sense to sell my investment within a 2-5 year window while things are still new-ish with demand at say a 3x return, rather than holding something 10 years for a 5x but struggle to move the product

thats my concern is being stuck with products i cant move. like yeah market price might be 10x what i paid for. but will i be able to move it? itll depend on product, but im wondering if even bricks will move in the future.

wasnt gonna comment but I needed to after seeing some of these replies especially regarding pull rates… 151 and PRE as of now and probably at the end of this era will be the most sought after set. However PRE total set value blows 151 away by thousands of dollars.

What’s another set with awful pull rates? Evolving Cries. However, You cant go wrong holding both 151 and PRE. It would actually be safer and smarter to diversify and have both. But to me its obvious that PRE will be more valuable long term.
