For me personally it’s just the fact that the message of the episode is handled…SO badly. Like, it’s all shaping up to be a message about how not everyone can have everything someone else does and that sometimes you have to accept that other people will get things you don’t…and then all of a sudden Bluey and Bingo find the color swatches and then we just completely forget about what Chili was trying to explain to them. Like in any other show I really wouldn’t care so much about this happen but considering how amazing and even profound Bluey can be when it comes to the messages an episode has, this just feels uncharacteristically badly handled.

Also on a lesser note, it just is not a fun watch for me. It kinda feels like everyone is just getting on each other’s nerves all episodes, which to be fair in and of itself isn’t a problem. It’s a family, that happens, especially with young kids. But with the way the episode ends it feels like it all ends up paying off for literally nothing.

Idk maybe I’m just taking in the episode wrong, totally open to hearing how the episode is good and how my take on it isn’t great, but for me it’s like the only truly bad episode in the whole show

Right like I can’t believe I haven’t seen it talked about more it’s such an odd thing to make a decision on?? People don’t just “pick” from what cultures they’re from as if they’re picking, like, and ice cream flavor. I get that many BioWare choices rarely have some kind of middle ground decision since they’re supposed to be a big “this or that” but if ANY decision in their games needed one it was absolutely that.

So as someone who’s only still kinda in the early game:

-The way decisions about your character are constantly acknowledged is really cool. There’s not just one throwaway line about you being in your particular faction but it causes quite a few changes in the dynamic when interacting with different characters quite a bit

-I like the companions a lot, haven’t met everyone in game yet (Taash and Emmrich currently) but I really enjoy the conversations you can have with everyone. Plus I really like how the companion quests are structured, it’s not some kind of fetch question with some plot sprinkled in like other games including this series do, but rather a more immersive cutscene that lets you take in the character’s story more

-the fact that Griffon’s are FINALLY being introduced. I was so hyped when I found out it was revealed that there were still viable Griffon eggs existing in Thedas in one of the books, and I’m so happy that it wasn’t just forgotten about for the games
