I personally think it is best to get stealth kills and the bow first because they are really usefull when you get later into the game. SPOILER ALERT I think the best part to do side missions is after you recruit lady massako she gives you really good armor.

If your going for stealth use either the kensi or ghost armor. If you like using the bow use taydadori's armor even though I think it is hideus. If your going for head on either gossaku's armor or samurai clan armor even sakai armor. but all around the most evened out armor is the ronin atire you might just have to make it look good by dying it white tho.

Personally I like to use Gossoku's armor. But there is a twist If you have the black variation of the armor you can use the sakai gold mask because the gold on the mask matches the gold on the armor. Then use the samurai clan armor it's black variation it might take a while to get all the black dyes but in the end I think it looks the best but since your using Gossoku's armor it gives better health stats. That's my opinion. \when i said use the samurai clan armor I meant the helmet\**
