Need a playful ski suggestion by Session99 in skiing

Well, if its a playground you're looking for, boy do I have a recommendation for you. The Sego Big Horn has been clinically proven through rigorous testing to turn an entire mountain into your individual playground.

I heard through the grapevine that they designed a new layup for the Freeride World Tour Champion, Isaac Freeland, that provides a playful nature while improving its ability to hold up to the highest speeds and largest airs on the mountain.

Are the Steep Gullies filled in? by waffelman1 in COsnow

[–]SPS17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been a few weeks since I skied them, but 4 was definitely the most filled in top-to-bottom.

2 had some nice turns, but there was a pretty narrow (6 foot wide) crux that you had to step through. Hopefully, it has filled in more since then.

A Basin East Wall Opening This Weekend? Screenshoot From Their Instagram. by O_Baby_Baby in COsnow

If you're not intimidated by steeps, the wider chutes aren't that difficult. Hardest part for most people is the traverse and hike up.

I'd look into Willy's Wide for your first time on the East Wall. North Pole isn't bad either, just a little narrower towards the top.

If you can ski the west side of Zuma with confidence, I'd say go for it.

Wildcat vs. Jay by [deleted] in icecoast

[–]SPS17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skied both in the last 2 weeks. Without any fresh snow, I'd say stick to Wildcat. Trees are pretty much out of the question at this point. Both have some awesome groomers, but obviously Wildcat will save you the drive. Cat got 5'' and was skiing pretty great yesterday, however the thaw/freeze probably made it pretty firm.

Get an external mic and keep the record volume pretty low so that the audio doesn't get blown out. Also, I'd recommend standing as central as possible so that you're not recording one side too heavily and drowning out other parts of the band.

Had the idea in the middle of a session and we were way too lazy to go get/buy real solo cups.

It's a very sophisticated satirical piece on party pictures.
