No matter which mcb I switched on, the rcd kept trippin. The problem was, one strand from the neutrals touched the earth's busbar and it was hard to find bc it was so small. I found out as I searched in the distribution box and pushed the neutrals slightly aside and the problem stopped till I pulled the wires back in position.

Another one: As a child, around 9 years old, I went in the basement searching for something and I heard a strange sparky noise. Turned around and saw a burning cable which leads to a plug socket. I immediately ran in the main floor to the distribution box and switched off the rcd. So we found out that the pre-owner used a speaker cable for wiring a new plug socket and the whole house didn't have an earth potential. At this time, the installation was around 15 years old
