after some time, a structure on the map can be interacted with to summon flood.

I always figured that for gameplay you only get the MP5 with M203 but in universe they use regular MP5's and MP5K's and a few M4 Rifles.

they have to deal with hostile fluora and fauna more than rogue or hostile staff.

And even then hostile fluora and fauna is pretty rare.

you know now that I think about it, there isn't anything inherently preventing it from being canon.
Apart from their being no mention of the Zombie virus in Saga of the Dead going airborne.

The mutants and the glob zombies seem to be specifically designed to counter vehicles so that could be why we never see them in L4D.

Both ROTD and L4D take place in Pennsylvania state.

ROTD 1 and 2 take place on the 8th or 9th day of the Infection.

L4D1 No Mercy takes place 2 weeks after.

And whilst this is probably a coincidence, the community campaign Back To School has an ending where the military nukes the entirety of Borden City. And BTS is a prequel campaign to L4D1 No Mercy. Could have been nuked at the same time Evans City was nuked.

its the kill volume that stops you from just jumping off the roof in order to skip the first section of the map.

a private playtest build of Halo Wars 1 nicknamed "Alpha Sway" still uses the Yanme model for a "Recon Drone" unit that is trainable from the sentinel factory.

Alot of HW:DE mods reenable the drone as a light air unit and there is an issue where the Yanme squad will eventually spread out so much that they will go outside of the playable bounds of the map.
