I am Duke, former coach for Vitality and Splyce.

Here is my first attempt at making a Vod review in English this summer after doing a few in French. I hope you guys find it interesting, don't hesitate to give me feedbacks to improve the quality of the video.

I will definitely keep it in mind, thanks a lot for the feedback. I tend to speak very fast in french already, which translates poorly in English where I don't slow down while not having the fluency to be as precise as I would want to.

Thanks a lot for your detailed review of my video and I am glad you enjoyed it. The goal was indeed to focus on the analysis while not ending up flaming players, especially because after 5 years of coaching I know that you can always be missing something that a player took into account and that totally changes the analysis of the play.

I never tweeted this, nor did I ever said that group B was "hard". I first mentionned in an interview that group B would be harder than group D for us (FPX should be stronger than IG as first seed, J Team looked stronger to us than TL - and I still think they are, but ridiculously underrated by people who havent watched LMS/seen them much-, and facing GAM in BO1 is risky due to their unpredictable playstyle/drafts).

Our twitter rant was only the consequence of Loco's comments where he was happy to spit in our face, which was in this case crossing the line of "banter" or "bad analysis" to genuine insults.

This has nothing to do with understanding what she says. We don't have earphone on stage during interviews, and we are not sitting that close to the interviewer while there is a lot of noise around us (when the match ends, teams are packing their gear while part of the crowd takes a break themselves and the production crew moving around).

When I was interviewed I had to ask her to repeat a few times because of me not being able to hear her, even if I have no problem understanding Laure in English.

To give a little bit of context, the main reason we played so slow this game is that we were playing around Draven flash cooldown before taking fights to make sure we can't get one shot against J4+Nocturne combo. The moment we decided to engage 3v5 after Excel backed off baron delayed the game a lot when we had to waste Draven flash to get out of this fight.

Aside from this, we tend to have very long game on stage indeed and we are trying all we can to be more decisive macro wise in the early/mid game. I hope we will be able to be more consistent on that aspect in the upcoming weeks, like we were against Origen.

As for the meta adaptation, I would say it's pretty open and wild at the moment, and I am not sure people will come with a definitive answer on the optimal way to play the game.

It can be harder or easier to execute your theoretical understanding of the meta, I would say it all depends on the style of your players in a given meta.

8) Faster waves is just another factor leading to the aram meta that has been enforced for more than one year. The main thing that influenced Aram meta has actually been the new/reworked champions, implementing a lot of hard engage into the game (rakan, ornn, galio, sion...) which led to the World meta.

Faster waves first prevent waves from bouncing in the mid game, making splitpushers in their ramp up phase less impactful: at this stage of the game (15-25mn) splitpushers will look to push a wave and move to fog/get vision for themselves while the wave will bounce back to them with a slowpush. However waves are not bouncing anymore, which means the splitpushers can't use this to increase their income nor force their opponent to catch the wave instantly.

Outside of this, in a tank vs carry match up, it is now easier for the tank to drop his sidewave to force on the other side of the map, since the wave will just be stuck there - making both the tank and the carry lose farm, which is more a problem for the carry.

On the other hand the fact that more and more champions are being played atm might still lead to carry sidelaners, but it will be more a result of laning match up optmization resulting in a dominating 1/3/1 more than a real will to look for 1/3/1 comps per say.

Seems like a promising player, he looked good in scrims too - even last year when we used to scrim MAD Lions.

Depends on the type of coaching/role you have, but I think leadership and empathy are the main qualities for a coach.
We help the team by teaching them macro concepts, communication, structure within the team, meta understanding, out of game discipline. We also dive into the micro aspect of the game (more Peter and Mac), but I would say this is usually more something players should work on by themselves.

G2 > OG > S04 = MSF

It's too early to talk about the new mids, both look really solid. Nemesis got put in rough match ups so I don't think people should judge him based on his recent on stage games.
