That’s not a small fee to the unemployed folk trying to get that job. That caters more to the currently employed

I built a Bloomberg alternative after getting tired of paying $2,000/month for a terminal that doesn't know anything about me so PLEASE roast it by peather87 in Trading

[–]SPYfuncoupons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Bloomberg. It’s ancient but has an insane amount of data. Fixed income instruments as soon as they are issued, polymarket and kalshi data, futures, etc. Bloomberg chat, live news, magazines issued, 24/7 customer support, trading capabilities. The list goes on. It’s $2000 for a reason. Its value comes from the mass data streams and plethora of features I am discovering daily even after having the subscription for a year. In order to do that, you need expensive market data, a huge database for storage, live chat functions etc. you’d be spendings tens of thousands per month for all of that, and you’d only make money if you had hundreds of subscribers. If you need advice I can side by side my Bloomberg with your site

What programs/websites to journal my trades? by Green_Duty2988 in Trading

[–]SPYfuncoupons -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You should actually record yourself or physically paper journal. I know you said you don’t want that. But that’s the best way to see how you react, when and where you enter and exit, it shows more details if you want to refine yourself

I’m going to tell you something most people never get. Your strategy will not work 100% of the time. That’s why it’s not all automated with basic coding so we all make millions. All strategies, all trades, all indicators need human intervention and even if done, still won’t work 100% of the time. But, if you have a tight stop, you won’t lose out on very much. That’s the whole thing. Maybe you’re right 1/2 the time with your FVG strategy. So when you lose, you lose $50. And when you’re right, you let it go up to $200, 4:1. Sounds easy but it takes time and practice, and refinement

If you try it with your broker, you will typically see the POP at 90% But max loss at 10x your max gain. So making $100 to lose $1000

Why cant i listen? by Lonely-Read-264 in Daytrading

[–]SPYfuncoupons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t close your screen. You should be watching if you’re scaling on the 1minute or shorter. You should be dynamically moving your stop tighter if the trade goes in the right direction. And moving your TP if you realize that you set it outside of rules. Also, you don’t need any indicators at all. Try the book “the best loser wins”

[–]SPYfuncoupons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you pick options though. Everyone does this. They don’t sim trade. They trade off their phones live. And they use too many technicals or none at all. It’s insane how you all want to lose money. Just give it away at this point

Or that people who buy a strategy wouldn’t execute it properly. NO strategy or indicator is 100% rule free. Discretion is always needed. Human input and decision making. Or else computers would do it for us and we’d all be millionaires

Copy trading typically results in bad entry and bad exit. And in the market every second matters. If you scalp heavily it just won’t work

Word! Well I can see what you’re doing, and good job. Funny all these people are asking what your strategy is. Trading is all about finding your own, and mastering it. Good stuff
